Chapter 25 - The Beginning Of Pandora And Xenophilius's Marriage.

Petunia hadn't told her progenitors where she would work. Well, she said she would work in a magical clothing store, but she hadn't said it was in another country. They hardly cared about that, since she had already said she would move after Lily went to school.

As for Lily, she was smarter and quickly discovered that Petunia would be leaving the country. She was sad at first until she realized that her sister would be safer outside the country. She promised to write letters and visit her in the summer.

In the first week of July, the letters with the materials arrived, and the purchases would be minimal: a defense book for each of them, the fifth-year potions kit, and more parchments and notebooks, since it was the year of their O.W.L.s., she gave them her notes.

They would go to Diagon Alley and do the shopping and Petunia would introduce the two to Aster. The three would get along well and then they would go to Xenophilius's family's house.

Petunia apparated the two to the Leaky Cauldron. She understood why so many wizards preferred the floo because apparating was not a pleasant sensation. Lily and Severus vomited on their first trip and it took a while for the two to get used to it, but even so, they both had a look of nausea.

The two walked ahead of her and were having a conversation about the potions of the O.W.L.s, but when they entered Diagon Alley, their cheerful voices disappeared, and Petunia could understand why. Instead of the vibrant colors of the cheerful stores and the children playing, there were few wizards on the street. The shopkeepers were suspicious and you could barely see children. It made sense since in an attack, those who could not use magic were the most vulnerable.

Fortunately, the bookstore was near the apothecary so while the two discussed plants and their uses, Petunia was the one who bought the defense books. It was sad to see all this happen, the parents' looks of fear, all because of a genocidal madman.

The shopping barely lasted ten minutes and the trio left the leaky cauldron. The two were curious to meet Petunia's boyfriend.

They arrived at a cafeteria and went to the furthest table where they found a red-haired man reading the newspaper. Petunia sat down next to him and the two sat in front of the couple. He lowered the paper in front of him.

It took Severus a while to recognize him, but it had been three years since he had seen the head boy from his first year. He was very curious to know how the two got together and now he looked at her tenderly and was holding her hand under the table. Severus wondered if the letters that always made Petunia smile when she received them were from him and how many of the rare books and fabrics were his gifts. Severus didn't understand love, but the way the two looked at each other made them seem like an old couple.

Lily never imagined that her sister's mysterious boyfriend was Asterion Weasley. She fondly remembered him from her first year. He was always so helpful to everyone. He was the kind of man that Lily (deep down, in her subconscious, she dreamed of having as a boyfriend) respected. She was very happy that Petunia had a boyfriend. But she was upset that her sister hadn't told her about it. But she was even more excited to know how the two of them got together.

Severus' curiosity and Lily's euphoria were palpable, but Asterion was very happy that Petunia's brothers approved of him.

The four of them stayed there talking until Petunia finally lost her patience with the questions. So they went to a more private place and used the portkey to the Lovegood family home. bAster and Petunia were used to Apparition, so they managed to land on their feet. But Severus and Lily ended up sprawled on the floor, but they got up very quickly.

She was enchanted by the Lovegood family home. It was a stone tower. It was strangely magical and seemed to be part of Hogwarts in a way.

They were welcomed by Pandora, and despite its small size on the outside, it was much larger on the inside. There were some cousins and relatives there.

Severus and Lily were dragged along to play with the children while Petunia went to help with the preparations. It was very easy to throw a party with magic. From the outside, it was visible that they were setting up the magic tent with an expansion spell. It would be a small party with a maximum of fifty guests, in Pandora's words. Some relatives from France had already come, but for security reasons, the fact that they were getting married was little publicized.

Gwen and Eloise arrived a little after Petunia. The four of them locked themselves in the room to help get the bride ready. Her blonde hair shone and she looked like a fairy with her dress and wings (which were a last-minute decision). The three of them were the bridesmaids, so they wore a dark purple shade, but in different styles. Eloise's was a beautiful Renaissance-style dress. Gwen wore a Greek-style dress, and Petunia wore a strapless dress that fell to her ankles. It was very fitted and slightly flowing.

Pandora was the most beautiful woman in the room, and everyone could see that her future husband only had eyes for her. She stood next to Aster throughout the ceremony and could feel the curious glances on her back. It was very difficult not to turn her head to look at them. However, Petunia held on throughout the ceremony. Aster was quick to ask her to dance, without giving his brothers time to interrogate her.
