"Ok," Morrigan said, pacing back and forth. "Let me get this straight, you chased that Roman guy all throughout Paris, you went all that trouble, only to let him go? Taking with him, Kazuo? Are you fucking insane?"
Colette looked away, her fingers fidgeting with the hem of her jacket.
"In her defense," Aris chimed in, leaning forward in his chair. "She—"
"Stop!" Morrigan whirled around, raising a finger at him without looking. "If I wanted your opinion, I'll ask for it."
Aris shrugged and leaned back on his desk.
"Morrigan," Dr. Nakamura stood up, his labcoat rustling as he moved. "You have to give Colette some leeway here. She did everything she could to stop the kidnappers."
"I agree," Gwen said from the side, checking her fingernails while leaning against the wall. "What's Colette supposed to do in that situation? Bore that Roman guy to death with her stare? She's outmatched."
