Siobhàn stared at her for a second, then threw her hands up again in exasperation. "So what's the plan? What do you want me to do? You want me to charge out there instead? Because newsflash: I don't have magic vampire speed or whatever you call it!"

"No," Morrigan said.

"Then what?"

"You distract it."

It took Siobhàn several seconds to realize she hadn't misheard her companion. When she did, she blinked once, then twice before taking an aggressive step forward and jabbing a finger at Morrigan's chest.

"Hold the fuck up," she hissed. "You want me—the person without freaky powers—to distract that walking death machine while you go play detective with whatever corpse they've got strapped back there?"

"Yes," Morrigan said without hesitation.

"Are you insane?" Siobhàn demanded, voice rising.

"Keep your voice down," Morrigan warned.
