**Chapter 279: Tang San Meets Yu Xiaogang Again**
At the entrance of Notting Junior Soul Master Academy, Tang San, accompanied by Village Elder Jack, gazed at the gate with complex emotions. He felt a surge of memories and nostalgia.
'In my past life, I began my journey to power here, at Notting Junior Soul Master Academy.'
'If I hadn't met my teacher, I might never have become a god.'
'If I hadn't met Xiao Wu, who knows how my life would have turned out?'
Tang San murmured to himself, "Teacher, Xiao Wu, I'm sorry for keeping you waiting. I'll be there soon. Xiao Wu, you must have been waiting for me, right? Here I come…"
Just as Tang San and Elder Jack were about to enter, a voice interrupted them.
"What are you doing? Is this a place for country folk to come?"
The words were filled with disdain, evoking memories of a similar encounter from Tang San's previous life.
Old Jack smiled at the doorman, trying to defuse the situation. "My dear brother, we are from Holy Soul Village..."
The doorman frowned and delivered a mocking remark that Tang San knew all too well from his past life.
"Can a golden phoenix come from a grass nest? How could someone from such a small village possibly have soul power? Are you sure you're not frauds?"
Tang San was speechless. Despite being reborn, the doorman's attitude hadn't changed at all. Seeing Elder Jack's anger flash in his eyes, Tang San suppressed his own fury and handed the certificate issued by Su Yuntao to the doorman.
The doorman continued to mock them, even claiming the Spirit Hall certificates were forged. The more Tang San read, the angrier he became.
In his previous life, he had wanted to teach this doorman a lesson, but back then, he had been stopped by his teacher.
This time, Tang San was resolved to act. As long as he didn't kill the doorman, he wouldn't care about the consequences.
Tang San stepped forward, slapped the doorman's chest, and sent him tumbling to the ground. As the doorman fell, a sleeve arrow shot out from Tang San's sleeve and struck him in the arm.
The arrow pierced deep into the doorman's arm, and he screamed in pain.
Tang San wasn't concerned. In his previous life, he had been a god, and to him, dealing with a mere doorman was nothing. He would have aimed for a fatal strike if he hadn't been worried that such an act would interfere with his plans to enroll in Notting College.
Yu Xiaogang, returning from outside, heard the commotion. He hurried over and saw the doorman on the ground with an arrow embedded in his arm. The sleeve arrow resembled the ones Zhao Ling had supplied to various factions over the years, including the Seven Treasures Glazed Sect and the Spirit Hall.
Yu Xiaogang had seen these weapons in an auction house and even bought a Zhuge Crossbow for himself. However, he hadn't expected a child dressed so plainly to possess such hidden weapons. It suggested that the child's family wasn't as simple as he seemed.
Hearing the doorman's painful yells, Yu Xiaogang quickly intervened. "Alright, stop it!" he ordered.
The doorman, wincing in pain, quickly shifted from anger to servile gratitude. "Teacher Yu, you're back."
Despite the pain, he couldn't afford to provoke Yu Xiaogang, knowing that he could be dismissed from his position.
Upon seeing Yu Xiaogang, Tang San's heart leapt with joy. Teacher, it's really you!
But something felt off. Tang San couldn't quite pinpoint it, but there was something strange about his teacher's demeanor. Also, the doorman had addressed Yu Xiaogang as Teacher Yu, not as his master, as in his past life. What was going on?
Yu Xiaogang took the Spirit Hall certificate from Elder Jack and, after a quick glance, confirmed its authenticity. "It's genuine, old sir," Yu Xiaogang said before handing the certificate back.
Afterward, Tang San bid farewell to Elder Jack and followed his teacher into Notting Soul Master Academy. But before they entered, Tang San took a moment to remove the arrow from the doorman's arm. As he did, he twisted the arrow slightly, causing the doorman to scream in pain.
Tang San whispered softly to the doorman, "You'd better behave yourself from now on. Next time, I won't show mercy."
Though Tang San had been reborn, he still carried the ruthlessness of his past life. His gaze made the doorman shrink back, silencing his protests.
Yu Xiaogang, observing this, felt a surge of admiration for Tang San's character. The child's methods were decisive and effective, not just in battle but in handling situations with an unyielding resolve.
'Perhaps this is the person I need to help me seek revenge on Zhao Ling,' Yu Xiaogang thought. 'After all, if I kill Zhao Ling, I can take Miss Dong'er back.'
Yu Xiaogang's mind wandered as he thought about the woman he desired. Even though Miss Dong'er had recently given birth, Yu Xiaogang convinced himself that, with her willingness, he could marry her and take her child as his own.
