**Chapter 293: Slowly Torturing**

**Chapter 293: Slowly Torturing**

After hearing the news that Tang San had been beaten again, Qian Renxue nodded with satisfaction.

"Well done. Now we can let them return. You've beaten him twice in a row, and I can finally feel at ease."

Her subordinates were puzzled. Who was this kid named Tang San? It was hard to believe that he had offended His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince, who rarely left the palace. Some speculated that the conflict arose during one of His Highness's occasional patrols on behalf of the emperor.

"That must be it," they thought. "This kid probably angered the Crown Prince during one of those trips."

They sneered. "What a fool. How could he offend the Crown Prince, the future emperor of the Tiandou Empire?"

The subordinates became eager to please, even considering ways to assist the Crown Prince in dealing with Tang San.

Qian Renxue glanced at them, her expression turning cold. "I advise you to abandon that idea. This might happen once or twice, but not three times. Do you think Tang San's status is low?"

"In truth, he's a direct descendant of the Haotian Sect. He hasn't even returned there yet, but once he does, the power behind him will grow exponentially."

Her subordinates gasped in surprise.

A boy who seemed ordinary was actually from the Haotian Sect? And his father was a Titled Douluo? Even though his father had only just reached Titled Douluo status, wielding the Clear Sky Hammer—regarded as the world's greatest weapon martial soul—he could rival a standard Titled Douluo at level 95. Such a figure was not someone they could afford to offend.

"Now we understand," one murmured. "No wonder the Crown Prince sent those children to deal with Tang San."

They recalled how His Royal Highness had arranged for those kids to enter Notting Junior Soul Master Academy, even providing funds to the academy's dean under the guise of a merchant. They speculated that the Crown Prince feared that Tang San's father might discover this scheme.

The children were sent away disguised as part of a merchant's entourage, with the plan to vanish once Tang San was dealt with. If Tang San's father came looking, they would be sent out of Tiandou Imperial City to a safer location.

But how the Crown Prince would manage that remained a mystery.

After the subordinates left, Thorny Porpoise Douluo and Snake Lance Douluo, who had been eavesdropping behind a screen, stepped forward.

"You seem to really hate this Tang San," Snake Lance Douluo remarked. "Why not just kill him?"

"Yes," Thorny Porpoise Douluo agreed. "You've stated that this boy might become a serious threat to Spirit Hall. Why not eliminate him now?"

Qian Renxue rolled her eyes in exasperation. "Kill him? Why rush? He might become a threat, but that's only a possibility. He's just a six-year-old child. You, a Titled Douluo, want to deal with him? It would be embarrassing for you, and even worse for me."

She leaned back lazily in an armchair. "Besides, we have Brother Ling as our backer. There's nothing to fear. It would be far more interesting to play with him slowly, to torture him bit by bit."

Thorny Porpoise Douluo and Snake Lance Douluo exchanged uneasy glances. "Slowly torturing a child? How deep is your grudge against him?" they thought. "Wouldn't it be simpler to just kill him and be done with it?"

But Qian Renxue ignored their misgivings and began planning her next move, wondering when she could play with Brother Ling again.

Meanwhile, in Zhao Ling's mansion, feeling bored, Zhao Ling decided to take a stroll to Lan Ba Academy. Since the academy's founding, he had often visited to check on things. After all, his wives were all working there, teaching and educating, so he couldn't be too lazy, could he?

The most important part was that at Lan Ba Academy, Zhao Ling had ensured that all the teachers were women, with beauty being a key criterion.

As he walked into the academy, he felt as though he had entered a "kingdom of women," with beautiful girls everywhere. The students didn't mind his arrival; they were accustomed to seeing him, as he was the husband of the dean, the vice-dean, and other senior leaders. He was known as the "most handsome man in the world," the Demon Suppression Douluo.

While he admired the girls' long legs, they couldn't help but sneak glances at the handsome Zhao Ling.

When his wives learned of his arrival, they immediately led him to the dean's office.

"My husband is really bold, isn't he?" one of them muttered. "He dares to come here alone."

"I don't know how he handles the fact that there are thousands of female students here, many of whom are at that age where their infatuations start to blossom," another remarked.

"Maybe he's not worried about getting swarmed by them," another wife teased. "But I hope he's not thinking about picking a new sister. At least they should be beautiful, right? No less than 90 points."

Once Zhao Ling settled onto the couch, feeling the stern gazes of his wives, he smiled sheepishly.

"My dear wives, I only came to see how hard you all are working. I thought you wouldn't mind my visit."

"What do you think?" Ah Yin said with a playful yet serious tone. "You're so brave to come here without asking our permission."

"Yeah," Liu Erlong added with a smirk. "Why didn't you come with us this morning? What's with coming here without saying anything? You worried we'd stop you from checking out the girls?"
