Defeat the Enemy

Xiao Yu paid no attention to Gera and instead looked directly at Rob.

Rob sneered and said sarcastically, "You want to fight me? Don't you know what my strength is?"

Xiao Yu, growing impatient, replied, "Stop talking nonsense. Are you fighting or not? If not, just admit defeat!"

"Fight? Why wouldn't I fight?" Rob's face showed a cold smile as he thought to himself, "Wait until I teach you a good lesson!"

Xiao Yu could guess what was going through Rob's mind, but he didn't care. Rob was asking for a beating, and Xiao Yu intended to give him a thorough one before leaving.

The two walked outside, with the crowd following behind them. The young boys and girls outside, who were still suffering under the scorching sun, turned their gazes toward the center of the courtyard where Rob and Xiao Yu were standing.

When they saw Rob wearing the uniform of Canaan Academy, murmurs began to spread through the crowd.

"What's going on? Are the new students fighting the seniors?"

"No way, right? Fighting a senior is asking for trouble!"

"I've heard of this happening before, but the seniors always crush them with force."

"That sounds about right. There's an unspoken rule at Canaan Academy: if a freshman gets too cocky, the seniors will knock them down a peg. This freshman probably angered that senior."

Rob, hearing the crowd's discussions, looked at Xiao Yu again and said, "Still want to fight?"

"Why are you acting like a woman, so wishy-washy?" Xiao Yu said, gesturing dismissively with his hand.

"You're asking to die!" Rob was enraged and decided not to hold back. He figured he could just say later that he accidentally hit too hard and accept whatever punishment came his way.

With that decision made, Rob began to circulate his Dou Qi. A four-star Dou Practitioner's aura radiated from his body, causing the surrounding freshmen to exclaim in surprise, "This senior is a four-star Dou practitioner!"

"Come on then!" Rob shouted. He took a step back with his right leg and sprang into the air, his left hand forming a fist covered in Dou Qi as he hurled it toward Xiao Yu's head.

Seeing Rob immediately using his full strength, the crowd frowned. This wasn't just a lesson—he was going for the kill. Xun'er's face darkened, and a dangerous aura enveloped her. Even Xiao Yu, standing nearby, glanced at Xun'er and felt a chill seeing her cold, frosty expression.

Though Xun'er had full confidence in Xiao Yu's strength, her impression of Rob had already soured. She thought she might have to settle the score on Xiao Yu's behalf at Canaan Academy.

Xiao Yu, on the other hand, remained calm, watching Rob's powerful punch come toward him. The crowd thought Xiao Yu was frozen with fear and couldn't help but sigh, "Why did he have to show off? Now he's going to get beaten black and blue!" The girls standing next to Xiao Yu were anxious, but seeing Xiao Yu's calmness, they had no choice but to stay quiet.

Just as the crowd was silently judging, Xiao Yu moved!

His right hand became engulfed in fiery red Dou Qi, and he calmly reached out, effortlessly catching Rob's iron fist.

The scene went silent. Rob's fierce punch, which carried such force, seemed to land on a pillow, completely dissipating without a sound. Everything appeared natural and easy, as though it had never been difficult.

Rob's face turned red with embarrassment. How could his overwhelming strike be neutralized so easily by Xiao Yu?

"This is impossible! Impossible!" Rob shouted in disbelief.

Xiao Yu chuckled and said, "Nothing's impossible. I told you, a four-star Dou practitioner is nothing to me." As he spoke, he formed a fist with his left hand and struck Rob squarely in the chest.

"Bang!"

It was as if Rob had been hit by a truck. He flew backward, and the sound of bones cracking echoed through the courtyard. His face turned pale, and blood spurted from his mouth.

"Thud!"

Rob crashed to the ground ten meters away, landing heavily on the hot stone floor. Whether from the impact or from shame, he flipped his eyes back and fainted on the spot.

Everyone present swallowed nervously. The girls who were close to Xiao Yu asked, "Yu'er, your brother is a monster! He took down a four-star Dou practitioner with one move. His strength is beyond monstrous—it's terrifying!"

Xiao Yu sighed helplessly, "This guy, always loves showing off."

Meanwhile, Gera, standing on the sidelines, felt immense relief. If he had fought, he'd have ended up worse than Rob. If a four-star Dou Practitioner was beaten like that, what chance did a one-star dou practitioner like him have?

The commotion caught the attention of the academy's teachers, and soon, Xiao Yu saw Instructor Ruolin approaching.

"What happened here?" Instructor Ruolin asked. Xiao Yu quickly explained the situation. Ruolin glanced at Gera and the others shrinking away and said, "Go bring Rob inside."

Gera hurriedly nodded and, with help, carried Rob inside. Ruolin checked Rob's injuries, furrowing her brows slightly. She then gave Xiao Yu a resigned look and said, "Your strength is impressive, but you should've held back a little."

Xiao Yu shrugged innocently, "He claimed to be a four-star Dou practitioner. How was I supposed to know he couldn't take a hit?"

Hearing Xiao Yu's response, everyone felt exasperated and thought, "Is that how you talk? A four-star Dou practitioner can't take a hit? You're a monster bullying an upperclassman!"

Even Xun'er, who had been upset earlier, twitched at the corner of her eye. Xiao Yan gave Xiao Yu a thumbs-up, while Xiao Yu sighed, "This guy really knows how to show off."

Instructor Ruolin sighed, "Take him to the infirmary."

"Yes!" Gera, trembling, didn't expect Rob's injuries to be this severe. Even Ruolin's water-based healing abilities were useless, a sign of how bad the damage was.

Gera glanced at Xiao Yu again and saw him staring back. Terrified, he quickly led his group to carry Rob away, fearing that this living nightmare might target him next.

Once they left, the remaining freshmen entered the room. Instructor Ruolin gracefully sat down in the main chair, and with a light touch on her storage ring, a green parchment scroll and an ink pen appeared in her hands.

Ruolin smiled at the boys and girls before her and said, "First of all, congratulations on passing the academy's assessment. You're now part of Canaan Academy. We need to assess your potential, so I'll need to know your exact strength. I'll call your names, and you'll come forward one by one."

"Those with eighth-stage Dou disciple are rated F, ninth-stage is E, and so on. The highest rating is S, reserved for five-star Dou practitioner or higher, under the age of twenty." As she spoke, Ruolin glanced at Xiao Yu, Xiao Yan, and Xun'er. She couldn't gauge their strength, but she was most excited about Xiao Yu. Although she had her guesses, she was still eager to confirm his level.

Everyone turned to look at Xiao Yu. Defeating a four-star Dou Fighter with one move almost guaranteed he was S-grade. With such potential, it was frightening to think he could become a Dou Emperor in the future!
