"It's the rust bucket!" Gwen exclaimed as she and Fred landed in the underground parking lot at Mount Rushmore.
"Yeah, and Phil's car is also here," Fred noted, his eyes narrowing.
They heard footsteps rushing towards them. Phil appeared, moving hastily towards his car. "Quick, let's h—" Gwen started, but Fred stepped in front of Phil and his car, blocking his path.
"Where are you off to in such a rush, this late at night?" Fred asked, his tone firm.
"There's an alien sighting outside of town. I got a call, and I'm rushing there now," Phil replied, his voice steady.
"Is that so?" Fred said, skepticism in his voice. "What about Grandpa Max? We rushed here looking for him, only to find the rust bucket here and him nowhere to be found. Also, your car is here, and oh! Look, you're here safe and sound."
"What are you getting at here, kid?" Phil said, his hand moving behind his back, ready to use the Null Void Projector at any moment.
"Well, Phil! Unlike Grandpa, who waited for more evidence because you two are friends and he wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt, I'm not as benevolent as him," Fred declared, his voice changing slightly as he began to grow. "You're the reason for the alien sightings, aren't you? Well then, as a future plumber and a technical freelance plumber operating under Max Tennyson, I'll get rid of anything posing a threat to Earth," he said, transforming into Kickin' Hawk.
Phil tried to use the Null Void Projector, but Fred used magic to restrain Phil's hand, causing him to drop it and misfire. "Gwen! Get the gun thingy!" Fred shouted, leaping to drop-kick Phil.
"You've got some tricks, kid. But I wasn't a plumber for nothing," Phil said, dodging Fred's attack. Fred slammed into the ground, missing him.
"Is that so?" Fred retorted, morphing into XLR8 and speeding in front of Phil faster than he could react. He then transformed into Rath and punched Phil's stomach so hard that his mouth gaped wide, nearly causing him to vomit. "Let me tell ya somethin', Phil! Thrash will make you wish you were never born!" Fred yelled as he pummeled Phil.
Meanwhile, Gwen rushed to the Null Void Projector to take it. As she grabbed it, two big red arms emerged from the portal, grabbing hold of the ground as something pulled itself out. "Ahhhh!" Gwen screamed as a Tetramand came out.
"Free! I'm finall—" he shouted, but his joy was cut short as Fred threw Phil at the Tetramand, bashing them both back into the Null Void.
"That'll teach you not to mess with us!" Fred yelled, turning back to normal and walking up to Gwen. "Bad guy taken care of," he said with a smile.
"Could you close that portal with monsters in it first?" Gwen muttered, her voice trembling.
"It's fine, see?" Fred said as the portal began to close. "The portal won't close if something comes out or goes in," he added.
At that moment, Max and Ben came rushing in, seeing Fred and Gwen along with the fading red color of the Null Void portal as it closed. "Phil?" Max asked, walking closer to them.
"Null Void," Fred replied. Max looked silently at the spot where the portal had been, sighing as he wondered what his friend had gotten himself into.
"Let's go, kids," he said, heading to the rust bucket. "The plumbers will take care of the rest," he added, referring to Phil's care.
As they entered the rust bucket, Max turned to Ben. "By the way, you've turned into two new aliens recently, and one of them is one that was hunting you down," Max remarked.
"Oh, you mean Hunter," Ben replied. "Yeah, Fred unlocked them for me."
"How are you able to navigate this watch anyway?" Gwen asked, curiosity evident in her voice.
"Huh? Oh, that. I used one of my aliens to figure the watch out. Besides, you saw how many aliens I can use, right? That watch has a lot more alien transformations in it than you think," Fred explained.
"What I'm curious about is that master control you told me about," Ben muttered. "A feature that grants full control over the watch? Sign me up," Ben said enthusiastically.
"Master control, huh?" Max remarked.
"Yeah, it's how he unlocked those aliens for me, and it's what that Vilgax guy used to turn me back to normal," Ben said.
"Keep dreaming. I won't unlock that feature for you. Figure it out yourself," Fred said with a smirk.
"We'll see about that. Just a few more games of rock-paper-scissors, and I'll have full control over the Omnitrix," Ben said, leaning back on the front seat.
"That was just a fluke. I'll show you," Fred replied, determination in his voice.
Ben laughed confidently, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Sure you will," he said, smirking.
Gwen rolled her eyes as she took a sip of water. "Boys," she muttered under her breath, as the rust bucket drove off into the night.
The next day, the gang was lively as ever. Max led them through Yellowstone Park, brimming with enthusiasm. Ben was busy fiddling with his watch in the back while Gwen was having the time of her life. Fred, however, wasn't playing any games or teasing anyone today. Instead, he was overly excited about the remodeling he had done to Vilgax's ship, now his ship. The ship was completely different from before, with facilities and designs centered on his taste. He also had drones and droids at his command. Bliss was evident on his face as he kept thinking about his ship.
"Don't you love being in the fresh outdoors?" Max remarked, inhaling deeply. "What more could one ask for?" he added, but the kids weren't listening to him.
"Come onnn! Stupid watch," Ben grumbled as he fiddled with the Omnitrix, frustration creeping into his voice.
"I'm surprised that watch managed to last this long," Gwen commented, casting a sideways glance at Ben.
"Haha," Ben retorted sarcastically. "It's not my fault it's not working. I'm just trying to pull out XLR8 so I can hit that burger place in Casper."
"You don't have to worry about that," Max said, getting their attention. "Look!" He rolled over a log, revealing the worms underneath. "This place is rich with nutrients," he said, picking one up and eating it.
"Maybe I can help with that," Gwen suggested, reaching over and turning the dial of the Omnitrix a few times. Suddenly, Ben accidentally transformed.
"A new guy!" Ben exclaimed, staring at his new form in surprise.
"What a sight to behold of the mighty hero," Gwen teased as Ben struggled to get up.
Fred caught up to them, accidentally bumping into Gwen and knocking himself out of his thoughts. "Ohhh! An Arburian Pelarota," Fred exclaimed, his eyes lighting up.
"You know this guy?" Gwen asked, intrigued.
"A little bit. He can curl into a ball and roll," Fred explained, clearly fascinated by the new form.
"Wow! You hear that, hero? You're the world's biggest armadillo now," Gwen teased, a playful grin on her face.
