At a certain museum, the gang strolled around, with Gwen eagerly absorbing the art. "Yeah, I don't get it," Fred remarked, trailing behind.
"I wouldn't expect you and Ben to, given your weird tastes," Gwen replied, noticing Fred drawing some structure on his tablet. Fred couldn't refute her remark, given his deep interest in technology, so he stayed silent.
"Speaking of Ben..." Max said, looking around and realizing Ben was nowhere to be seen.
"I'll go," Gwen volunteered, heading off to look for him. She found him outside the museum, sitting on a statue's foot and reading a comic book. "Urgh, really," she muttered, approaching him.
"Ben! What are you doing on that? You'll get us kicked out if they see you, you know," Gwen scolded.
"Can't I just do my own thing and not get bothered?" Ben retorted, hopping off the statue.
"Come on, Ben, it's just for the afternoon. Can't you just bear it for that while?" Gwen pleaded.
"Fiiiine!" Ben rolled his eyes, munching on some chocolate.
"You still have that? Can I have some?" Gwen asked.
"Sorry, Gwen, this is for heroes only," Ben said, walking past her. Gwen stood there for a second, then returned to Max and Fred with a slight frown.
"What's gotten into you?" Fred asked.
"You wouldn't understand. It's a non-hero thing," Gwen replied, clearly ticked off by Ben. Lately, she had shown a desire for the hero life, seeing how much Ben enjoyed using the Omnitrix whenever he felt like it.
"If only I could still be Lucky Girl," Gwen muttered.
"I mean..." Fred began.
"What?" Gwen looked at him, expecting ridicule.
"Well, I thought I'd lend you some books about magic I happen to have," Fred said, referring to books he wrote on magical theory, compiled from various techniques he remembered from his past life. He thought they would be of help to Gwen.
"Wait, really?" Gwen's face lit up.
"Yeah, I figured you'd have a knack for it," Fred replied.
Suddenly, the building shook as they heard an explosion outside. "What was that?" they exclaimed, immediately rushing towards the source.
At the scene, they found Ben transformed into Four Arms, fighting two aliens, including a familiar face.
"Isn't that the bounty hunter from before?" Max remarked, recognizing Six-Six. The two aliens were giving Ben a tough time.
Fred reached out his hand and muttered something, materializing red armor on Ben. "Huh? What the—" Ben looked back and saw Fred, figuring he'd done something for him.
"I've given you a buff. Try it out," Fred said. Before Ben could act, blue light descended, and three cape-wearing aliens materialized.
"The Galactic Enforcers are here!" one of them announced, striking a pose.
"So they've got superheroes in space too," Gwen remarked. The lightbulb-looking alien used telekinesis to bash Six-Six to the ground. Ben marveled at the superhero-like figures as they swiftly defeated the two alien criminals.
"By the provisions set forth by the Galactic Code of Conduct, I order you to surrender," the leader of the Galactic Enforcers commanded.
"Wait, hold on a minute, that's it? These guys came here and started wrecking the place. We've gotta..." Ben protested, but Six-Six released a small orb that created a smokescreen, aiding their escape.
"See what I mean?" Ben said as the smoke cleared, and the ship flew away.
"Don't worry, we'll get them for sure," the leader assured.
"Anyway, it's rare to see a fellow Tetramand in this part of the galaxy," Tiny, the four-armed enforcer, said to Ben.
"Well, I'm actually..." Ben began but timed out. "Human."
The lightbulb alien floated closer to Ben. "So it really is true. The Omnitrix is in the possession of a child. We've heard of you, including rumors stating you were somewhat lacking in mental capacity," he said. Ben felt slightly offended but didn't fully understand.
"No offence," the lightbulb alien added.
"Nah, it's fine. He hears that a lot, actually," Gwen muttered.
"Who are you guys anyway?" Fred asked.
"Ahhh, the famed sidekick possessing keen magical prowess," the lightbulb alien remarked, looking at Fred.
"Okay, pause, you Brainstorm wannabe. If you're just here to roast us, then we're outta here," Fred said.
"Apologies, we don't mean to offend you. My name is Ultimos, the specimen prime. This is Sametek and Tiny. We are the Galactic Enforcers," Ultimos introduced, striking a pose.
"Okay, Power Rangers, what brings you here?" Fred asked, deadpan. Sametek was visibly irked but kept his cool.
"You guys are like space superheroes. That's awesome. I can finally hang out with other heroes like me," Ben said.
"We are here on official duty in accordance with the Galactic Code of Conduct. We hereby request clearance..." Ultimos began.
"Ahem, excuse me, off-brand Kryptonian!" Fred interrupted, irking the enforcers further. "This quadrant is under Plumber jurisdiction. Yes, their influence has decreased in this solar region, but you'd still need to check if there are any Plumbers and seek clearance from them."
Ultimos glanced at Ben. "And although that might take you a while, you shouldn't worry because we have a Plumber right here with us," Fred added, pointing at Max.
"Umm, yes. Forgive my impetuosity," Ultimos said, humbled.
Fred smiled slightly, considering using his Kryptonian form out of spite. Max agreed, and soon they were all teleported to the enforcers' ship in orbit.
"Woah, look at this! It's like superhero heaven," Ben awed, looking around the ship.
"So, what's the deal with Mr. Gadget Guy and his friend running amok?" Max asked.
"His name is Six-Six. He escaped incarceration and formed an alliance with the Detrabyte Volcanus," Ultimos explained.
"They are a rather feeble species, as you would say, all brawn and no brains," Sametek added.
"They were hired to steal a rather troubling substance known as Element X," Ultimos continued.
"Isn't that a component used to create an explosive compound capable of wiping out a solar system?" Fred inquired.
"Yes, they are here looking for the other half," Ultimos confirmed.
"Bicenthium alloy," Fred said.
"Correct," Ultimos replied.
