Something that never happened

"Damn! what the hell am i thinking??" She snapped at herself

Sia clocked out of the company and was waiting for a taxi when a car pulled up in front of her

"Need a ride?" Ryan asked winding down the glasses of the side window and she hesitated before finally hopping in

"Hello Sir!" She greeted while he said nothing but just continued driving.

"Today must have been so hectic, i didn't see his face except for the brief minutes at the meeting" Sia thought while stealing glances at Ryan who was busy driving

"Are you nervous?" Ryan asked not facing Sia

"About what" she replied knowing what he is driving at but pretended like she's got no clue

"About the presentation?" Ryan asked and Sia nodded negatively

"Don't take it the wrong way, i just wants you to practice" Ryan said with his eyes focused on the road

"Oh i see!, i get why everybody is belittling me, cause of the opening speech right!" Sia yelled quite loud making Ryan finally spare her a glance as he just stared at her before facing the road

"Didn't your father tell you how good and hardworking i am before he sent me here??" Sia said making Ryan stare at her in awe

"You are not just a talkative, you are also extremely bold, how can you talk about my father in such a way?" Ryan said finally diverting his gaze from her face back to the road

"Why, did i do something wrong??" Sia asked in earnest

"You've got no respect for anybody i guess, i had thought it was only to me your rude behaviour revolves around but it's not and why would my Dad tell me about you, it's not like you are any kind of special in the company, i said and creased my forehead

"I mean some father talks about stuffs like that with their children" Sia said with a pouted lips

"Figures. You must have had a lovely family" Ryan said nodding his head

"What about you, you said it as though your family doesn't get along" Sia said staring at him waiting for an answer to quench her curiousness

"Are you going to pry into my family matters now, you really are unbelievable" Ryan said and shook his head

"It looks like you asked first, anyways drop me after the right turn" Sia said pointing to the turn right in front of her

"I know, did you forget?" Ryan asked staring at her

"Oh! right, you even know my room" Sia said subconsciously and then remembered the story behind him carrying her into that room and suddenly became silent and the atmosphere suddenly became tensed

"Hmmm-hmmm!" Ryan made a sound clearing his throat and smiled

"Looks like we are here" Ryan said and put the car to a halt

"Oh! we are here, thank you Sir!" Sia said and bowed a little as she made to get out of the car when his voice stopped her

"Wait!" Ryan said stopping Sia

"Excuse me, about the kiss....." Ryan said not ending his speech when Sia cut her off

"Ah! the kiss, let's not talk about it, let's just forget about it" Sia said with a smile forming on her face

"How can we forget something that never happened?" Ryan said with a raised eyebrow

"Huh??" Sia replied obviously not being clear of what he said

"Exactly! the kiss, it never happened, i was quick in preventing it" Ryan said winking at her which made Sia stare at him with a look that says "what's wrong with him"

"Do you perhaps think i would just kiss someone like you??" Ryan asked leaning forward staring at her

"Why? what is wrong with me?" Sia yelled at him

"No....what i mean is, i'm not a pervert" Ryan answered surprised at her outburst

"Oh! i see" Sia said silently nodding her head

"Why? are you telling me i'm allowed to kiss you?" Ryan said with a smile on his face

"What the hell, why would he ask me such a question" Sia thought in her head rolling eyes at him then changed the topic

"Why couldn't i remember that?"

"You are dodging my question" Ryan said sitting back with his back resting on the chair.

"You couldn't remember probably because you believed what you wanted to believe, that we kissed" Ryan said not taking his gaze away from her for a second

"Hmmm-hmmm!" Sia made a sound clearing her throat.

"I have to go, i'm glad we didn't kiss, it has been making me awkward" Sia said getting off the car

"You talk too much for someone in an akward position, anyways prepare for the presentation, just try to practice, don't push yourself too hard" Ryan said and turned the car around

"Thanks for the ride" Sia said bowing her head slightly as she watches the car fade

"Damn that opening speech!!" She cussed out loud kicking nothing with her feet. "It made everyone think i'm capable of doing nothing

After driving for some minutes, Ryan turned the car around again heading for his Dad's mansion, he couldn't get to take Sia off his mind and then recalled the conversation they had regarding family and he realized that the last time he talked to his Dad was the day of the launching event so he decided to pay a visit

"Dad, i'm here" he said walking up the stairs

"Look who is here" the chairman who was quite surprised to see Ryan said to him.

"Why are you here?" he asked

"Why else? to check on you" Ryan said standing beside him

"You must be finally going crazy, did you just say to check up on me? you don't come here without a reason, you come here only when i freeze your card or when you have a thing to say about your brother" the chairman said not buying the excuse Ryan gave for coming to him

"How is my brother doing? Is he coming home soon?" Ryan asked sitting on his father's desk

"You can always ask him that yourself not making me the messenger between the two of you,  i don't know when he will come home" The chairman said picking up the newspaper he had dropped before

"Oh okay! just thought of stopping by, i will take my leave now then" Ryan said while the chairman only nods

"How's mother!"

"She's doing fine, take care of yourself and take care of the business very well" the chairman said to Ryan who only smiled widely at him

"Oh! that loose girl, how is she doing" the chairman asked facing Ryan

"Ah! Miss Annastasia, she's doing well" Ryan said and smiled then his mind went to her question earlier.

"Dad! how was she when she was at your company?" Ryan asked filled with curiousness

"She was hardworking and the most intelligent i guess, why do you ask??

"Nothing, just curious, will take my leave now" Ryan said and walk out of the chairman's room down to the first floor

"Mother, how have you been" he said to the woman sitting on the couch downstairs

"I told you to stop calling me that, Mother! Mother!! i am sick and tired of it, i am not your mother, do you still don't get it??" the woman who is called by all as Mrs. Lawson yelled at Ryan

"I will take my leave now" Ryan said and sighed walking out of the house, the woman he just greeted is his stepmother who hates him, she is one of the reason why Ryan rarely visits his father's mansion

"Ryan!" Someone screamed making Ryan stopped as he turn to look at the person, as the lady walked up to him in her elegant blue crop top and a black mini skirt with silver beads on it accompanied with a black high heel boot

"Oh! Reyna!" Ryan said a little bit surprised to see her

"When did you get back" he asked

"I'm a little bit hurt by that question" Reyna said walking out as Ryan followed after her

"I made them call you when i got back and all you told them was to let me in that you will soon be at the hotel but you never came" Reyna said walking to Ryan's car

"I'm sorry, something urgent came up" Ryan said walking to the driver's side of the car

"Something more urgent than i am?" Reyna said opening the door to the car

"What are you doing right now?" Ryan asked Reyna who got into the car sitting comfortably like she's the real owner of the car

"Trying to make you drop me at my destination" Reyna said browsing on her phone and Ryan only shook his head then entered the car driving out of the compound
