Useless Cowards

The other employees at the club, who had been watching everything unfold, all cast looks of disdain and contempt toward Chen Liuhe and Huang Baiwan.

These were the security chief and deputy manager personally hired by President Qin? What a joke—these two were nothing but useless cowards. Even when others were blatantly disrespecting them, they still lowered their heads, bowing and scraping to please them? They even offered to pay for their debauchery?

How could anyone be this worthless? Even the girls who served drinks, not to mention the security guards under Huang Baiwan, began to look down on them, feeling pity. How could they possibly thrive under such leadership? They probably wouldn't even be able to stand tall anymore.

In the entertainment business, scenes like this were not uncommon. They had happened before, but when hadn't these situations been resolved with strength and decisiveness?

Anyone who dared to act this insolent, pushing boundaries and showing no respect, would end up being thrown out of the club. If that wasn't enough, they'd receive a few kicks and spat on for good measure—that was how you established authority!

The local thugs who often loitered around here, whenever they saw these people, weren't they all groveling and plastering on fake smiles?

But just look at these two clowns—utter spineless wimps.

Now, in everyone's eyes, Chen Liuhe and Huang Baiwan were synonymous with the word "coward."

"What if I say no?" The man seated in the middle glanced at Huang Baiwan, then at Chen Liuhe. "The three of us are definitely having fun with that girl tonight! I'd like to see what you're gonna do about it."

Chen Liuhe sighed, shaking his head. "Then it's you guys who are definitely finished." Only Huang Baiwan caught the real meaning behind his words, while everyone else heard it as "we're finished," which only made them look down on this newly appointed deputy manager even more.

"Hahaha! Who would've thought we'd encounter such spineless fools in a place like this? But I must admit, you guys are smart." The man in the middle burst into mocking laughter and then turned to his companion on the right. "Third Brother, go grab that girl. We're going to have a good time tonight."

Before Chen Liuhe could make a move, there was a sudden commotion outside the room. The faces of the security guards and hostesses at the door lit up with joy as they respectfully greeted a young man rushing over, "Vice President Fu!"

The crowd quickly parted, and a tall, sharply dressed young man with an air of authority strode in confidently.

This young man had an impressive presence, a proud expression on his face. It was clear that he commanded a great deal of respect in this establishment. Even Chen Liuhe, who had only been here for a day, recognized him.

In the "Jade Hall of Wealth," aside from Qin Ruohan, the person with the highest authority was Fu Jianfeng, the deputy general manager. He was Qin Ruohan's right-hand man and was quite capable when it came to running the club. Qin Ruohan's success in managing such a large venue owed much to Fu Jianfeng's contributions.

"What's going on here? Has this situation still not been resolved? And there's all this commotion too? Are we even running a business here anymore? Who's going to take responsibility if this disrupts the other guests?" Fu Jianfeng walked into the room, his tone harsh, clearly blaming Chen Liuhe and Huang Baiwan as his gaze swept over them.

He had been informed about this situation long ago but had intentionally waited to show up, wanting to see how capable the newly appointed deputy manager Chen Liuhe was. The result? He could only sneer—what a useless fool.

To be honest, Fu Jianfeng didn't have a shred of goodwill toward Chen Liuhe. In fact, he downright disliked him. Everyone in the club knew that there was only one deputy general manager, and that was him, Fu Jianfeng. It was also common knowledge that Fu Jianfeng had long been infatuated with the beautiful and wealthy Qin Ruohan, harboring ambitions for both her and the business.

But who could have predicted that out of nowhere, Chen Liuhe would suddenly appear, taking on the same position as him? This naturally led to all sorts of speculation about Chen Liuhe's relationship with Qin Ruohan. Some even guessed that Chen Liuhe was Qin Ruohan's kept lover.

How could Fu Jianfeng not be furious? As long as he was around, Chen Liuhe would never have an easy time.

Chen Liuhe's expression remained unchanged as he looked at Fu Jianfeng, who was full of self-importance. He knew right away that things were about to get messy. This guy clearly came here to show off. Tonight was bound to be lively.

"Vice President Fu, you've finally arrived. This situation really needs you to step in and settle things. Don't count on certain people anymore. Today, I've finally seen what it means to be a coward. I don't know what President Qin was thinking, hiring these two useless weaklings," sneered a gaudily dressed woman standing by the door. She was the manager of the hostesses, known as Sister Hong.

"They've completely embarrassed our club. If the management is this weak, I doubt it'll be long before someone smashes up the place, and we end up closing down." Someone else chimed in with a mocking laugh.

Despite the ridicule from those around them, Chen Liuhe and Huang Baiwan remained silent. Huang Baiwan had a carefree, indifferent look on his face, while Chen Liuhe just smiled without a word.

Fu Jianfeng sneered, his gaze moving between Chen Liuhe and Huang Baiwan before he harshly scolded, "You two can't even handle something this simple. You really are a pair of useless trash." How could he pass up such a golden opportunity to suppress Chen Liuhe?

Chen Liuhe chuckled indifferently and said, "I'm just here to watch the fun. Don't take me seriously. I'm nowhere near as smart or capable as you, Vice President Fu. I'm sure you'll handle this with ease."

He then turned to Huang Baiwan, "Old Huang, come on over. Now that Vice President Fu is here, there's nothing left for you to do. Let's just enjoy the show."

Without a word, Huang Baiwan scurried over to Chen Liuhe's side, but his gaze toward Fu Jianfeng held a hint of amusement. This guy clearly didn't know his limits. It made Huang Baiwan think of two words: courting death.

"We don't keep useless trash or idlers here at the club. After this incident, I'll have President Qin kick you both out," Fu Jianfeng said coldly, his eyes full of ridicule as he looked at Chen Liuhe.

Chen Liuhe shrugged, unconcerned. "Be my guest." His indifferent attitude was the perfect display of someone utterly unbothered by the situation.

Huang Baiwan muttered quietly, just loud enough for Chen Liuhe to hear, "Arrogant fool. People like him always end up dying ugly. If he doesn't stop, he'll get himself killed for sure." In Huang Baiwan's eyes, Fu Jianfeng was nothing more than a moron who thought his little bit of ability could take him to the top.

Ignoring Chen Liuhe, Fu Jianfeng, under the watchful eyes of everyone present, stepped up to the three men. Standing tall and commanding, he said, "Gentlemen, out of respect for you as guests, I'll offer you a chance to settle this peacefully. But I warn you, this farce ends tonight. Don't make things worse, or we'll all regret it."

"Big words! And who do you think you are, calling the shots?" The three men sneered at Fu Jianfeng, showing no fear whatsoever. They clearly didn't take him seriously at all.

"I'm the general manager of this establishment," Fu Jianfeng replied, maintaining his composure.

"You came just in time. My brothers and I want to have some fun with that girl tonight. What do you say?" The man in the middle raised his eyebrows as he spoke.

The scar-faced man to his right added with a cold smile, "You'd better agree, whether you like it or not."

Fu Jianfeng's expression darkened. "Gentlemen, don't say I didn't warn you. I've seen plenty of people like you, and none of them ended well. Let me give you some advice—you might want to think twice before causing trouble here. This is not the kind of place you want to mess with, or you'll regret it."

As soon as these words left his mouth, the scar-faced man flew into a rage. "Are you threatening me? You're threatening me? You son of a bitch, nobody threatens me! You must have a death wish!"

With that, he grabbed a beer bottle from the table and smashed it over Fu Jianfeng's head.

With a loud "crash," the bottle shattered, sending glass flying. The sudden turn of events left everyone in the room stunned.

Fu Jianfeng let out a painful cry, clutching his bleeding head as he squatted down on the floor. He hadn't expected these people to attack without so much as a warning. It wasn't until he saw the blood on his hand that he realized what had happened. Instantly consumed with rage, he howled, "Beat them! Beat these blind fools to death!"

The dozen or so security guards gathered inside and outside the room had already been holding in their frustration. Now that the deputy manager had spoken, they immediately raised their clubs and charged in unison.

"Don't know what's good for you, huh? Grab your weapons and take them out!" The three men were clearly no pushovers. Even before the fight began, the viciousness in their expressions was enough to strike fear into onlookers.

Standing in the corner, Chen Liuhe chuckled, "The real show begins."

Sure enough, as the brawl erupted, the three muscular men revealed their ferocity. Their strikes were swift and brutal, smashing bottles directly at the vital points of the security guards without a care for the consequences.

One of them, a scar-faced man, even pulled out a fruit knife from who knows where. With a wicked grin, he plunged the knife straight into the stomach of a guard rushing toward him.

At that moment, everyone was utterly stunned. This wasn't just a fight—it was a life-or-death struggle!

The hostesses in the room screamed in terror, and the security guards froze, their faces filled with fear. Some even backed away, their legs trembling, too frightened to move forward.

It was only now that they slowly realized these three men weren't just ordinary thugs. The menacing expressions on their faces and the ruthless glint in their eyes were terrifying.

And their vicious attacks only made the security guards' skin crawl, filling them with dread.
