Courting Death!

The two hostesses were sobbing hopelessly, struggling as they glanced around at the crowd, pleading for help with their eyes. But at this moment, no one dared to stand up for them. Everyone had their heads down, silently hoping that the girls' bodies might calm the three madmen down, giving the rest of them a slim chance of survival.

When the girls' despairing gazes landed on Chen Liuge, it was as if he could hear their desperate cries for help. He sighed lightly and slowly stood up.

"Bosses, may I offer a suggestion? How about we call it a night?" Chen Liuge calmly glanced at the three men. "You've already shown off, hurt some people, and vented your anger. Pushing things further won't do any good. There's no need to do something completely insane."

Though he looked down on the security guards and the hostesses, he didn't think they deserved to be completely ruined. After all, he was the deputy manager of this club. Even if he didn't care about these people, he had to consider Qin Ruohan, the poor woman who paid his salary.

The three men were momentarily stunned by Chen Liuge stepping forward, but Scarface quickly regained his composure and pointed the gun at Chen Liuge with a fierce snarl. "Kid, are you asking to die?"

Chen Liuge narrowed his eyes. "I'm just giving you some advice. If you leave now, I promise, tonight's incident will be forgotten. Walk out of this room, and no one will say a word. You'll still be safe."

"Advice?" Scarface sneered, his expression growing more menacing. "You must be out of your mind! Want me to blow your brains out right now?"

Chen Liuge shook his head, completely ignoring the gun. "The gun's in your hand. Others may fear it, but not me. And unfortunately for you, I'm not afraid of guns either. So, neither you nor your gun scares me."

Before Scarface could retort, the leader of the three men fixed his gaze on Chen Liuge. "Brother, if I'm not mistaken, you're not an ordinary man." A chill ran down his spine as he spoke. Just a moment ago, he'd seen a glimmer in Chen Liuge's eyes that made him feel an icy fear. This seemingly unremarkable man had a beast lurking inside him.

"Listen to me—get out of here now. Since I've stepped up, no one in this room is yours to touch," Chen Liuge said, his former meekness replaced by a calm but commanding aura. The security guards and hostesses were stunned—was this really the same guy who had been nodding and bowing just moments ago?

Some of them suddenly recalled the previous night when Chen Liuge had barged into the club with Huang Million. Their faces lit up with hope. How could they have forgotten? This deputy manager wasn't just anyone—he was ruthless.

The leader signaled his two brothers to calm down and stopped them from losing their tempers. He stared hard at Chen Liuge. "Brother, things have already escalated tonight. There's no way we're backing down just because you say so. We're not the kind of guys who scare easily. How about you sit tight and let us have our fun? I promise we won't lay a hand on you, and you'll walk out of here unharmed."

Chen Liuge remained unmoved and shook his head. "You should know the saying: if you take someone's money, you help solve their problems. Those girls are employees here, and as long as they are, I have to keep them safe—at least while they're in this club."

The leader's face darkened, and his eyes flashed with murderous intent. "We've got guns. How do you plan to protect them?" he sneered, pulling a gun from his waistband and, without hesitation, fired at the nearest security guard.

A scream of agony filled the room as the guard's leg was soaked in blood.

"This is what happens when you act tough. I've got eight bullets left in this gun. If you don't sit down, I'll empty the clip. How many people die—well, that's up to you," the leader said viciously.

Panic and fear swept through the room. Everyone was consumed by conflicting emotions. Some resented Chen Liuge, terrified that his actions would provoke the killers into a bloodbath. But deep down, they hoped he wouldn't back down, that he'd fight these lunatics and give them a chance to escape in the chaos.

Chen Liuge's gaze turned cold. He shook his head quietly. "You've made the wrong choice. Even if you wanted to leave now, it's too late."

"Shut up! I'll blow your head off!" Scarface roared, pulling the trigger.

But at that moment, as if predicting the move, Chen Liuge swiftly ducked, dodging the bullet. Without stopping, he sprang forward like a tiger, launching himself at Scarface with lightning speed. Before anyone could react, he was already in front of him.

Scarface didn't even see how Chen Liuge moved before feeling an immense force slam into his chest, sending him flying across the room and crashing into the wall.

"Kill him!" the leader shouted, panic spreading across his face. He aimed his gun at Chen Liuge and pulled the trigger, but to his shock, the gun wouldn't fire. Chen Liuge's hand had somehow gripped the barrel, and one finger was perfectly wedged behind the trigger, stopping it.

"What the—" The leader was stunned. Chen Liuge's speed and precision were beyond belief.

"Die, bastard!" the last of the three men shouted, but before he could shoot, his body was knocked aside by an unexpected force. Huang Million had charged in, rolling on the ground with the man. Despite being punched in the head repeatedly, Huang Million stubbornly clung to the man's arm, sinking his teeth into his wrist.

"Let us go, and we'll call it even," the leader stammered, now standing face-to-face with Chen Liuge. Sweat dripped down his forehead. He knew they were done for. The man in front of him had dismantled their entire plan in an instant. They were outmatched.

"I gave you a chance, but you didn't take it. Now..." Chen Liuge shook his head coldly. "It's too late." With that, he twisted the leader's hand with a sickening crack, bending it at a grotesque angle, forcing him to scream in pain.

"Die!" Scarface, clutching a machete, lunged at Chen Liuge. But Chen Liuge barely moved. With a flick of his wrist, the machete was in his own hand, and in one smooth motion, he drove it into Scarface's leg.

"Aaah!" Scarface screamed, clutching his leg and writhing on the ground in agony.

At this moment, Chen Liuge was the embodiment of cold ruthlessness. To everyone else in the room, he was even more terrifying than the three outlaws. His indifference to life, to danger, sent chills down their spines.

"Your ruthlessness only inspires fear," Chen Liuge said quietly, gripping the man by the neck and lifting him off the ground. "But mine... mine will leave a scar on your soul. One squeeze, and you'll never wake up again."

"N-no, don't kill me..." The man's voice trembled with sheer terror.

"Oh, so you're scared of death after all," Chen Liuge sneered.

"You... you can't kill me. We live on borrowed time—today here, tomorrow gone. We're just disposable lives. But you, you're different. Don't throw your life away by messing with us. If you kill me, someone will come for revenge, and even your family will pay the price," the man warned, his voice shaking.

Chen Liuge's eyes narrowed as he smirked, the expression making the man's heart skip a beat in terror. The dangerous aura around him was suffocating.

"Threatening me? Maybe you don't understand—I'm the last person you want to threaten." With a flick of his wrist, Chen Liuge sent the man crashing into the massive screen, the glass shattering as he crumpled to the floor.

Without looking back, Chen Liuge turned to Huang Million, who was still wrestling with the second man. Calmly, Chen Liuge picked up a long shard of glass, yanked Huang Million aside, and pinned the second man to the ground. With a swift motion, he drove the glass through the man's wrist, pinning him to the floor.

The man's screams echoed through the room as everyone gasped in horror.

"Lie still if you want to live," Chen Liuge said coldly. "Try anything, and the next piece of glass goes through your throat."
