The Ambitions of a Young Woman

Qin Ruohan's face gradually turned cold as she stared at Fu Jianfeng. "So, what do you think should be done?"

Hearing her ask for his opinion, Fu Jianfeng was delighted. "I think someone like Chen Liuhe, a ticking time bomb, should be dealt with as soon as possible."

As he spoke, a smug look appeared on his face. *Chen Liuhe, do you really think you can compete with me? In this club, I'm the hero. I'm the one Qin Ruohan can count on the most.* No matter how tough or skilled you are, even if you stole the spotlight tonight and saved the day, I can still get you kicked out.

But just as he was feeling triumphant, Qin Ruohan's next words crushed his hopes instantly.

"Mr. Fu, I used to think you were quite talented, but tonight, you've really disappointed me. If I remember correctly, wasn't it Chen Liuhe who saved your life just now? Wasn't it his bravery that saved all of you?"

Her voice was cold, and she couldn't hide her anger. "How can a person's character be this ugly? Fu Jianfeng, don't think I don't know. If it weren't for your arrogance and overconfidence tonight, this tragedy wouldn't have even happened."

"In other words, Chen Liuhe cleaned up your mess. He saved you from the disaster you created. He just saved your life, along with the lives of a dozen employees, and within minutes, you're already turning on him?"

Qin Ruohan was furious. "You want me to fire the person who saved this club from disaster? Use your head for once. Do you think that's even remotely possible?"

"If it weren't for Chen Liuhe, do you even want to imagine what kind of catastrophe would've unfolded tonight? I don't even dare to think about it, and I doubt you do either." Her face was as cold as ice. "Mr. Fu, tonight you showed everyone your ugliest side. Don't push me into calling you shameless."

Her harsh words left Fu Jianfeng pale. In disbelief, he looked at her, anger rising in his chest. "President Qin, how can you talk to me like this? Over someone like Chen Liuhe? Don't forget who's been the biggest help to you, who's kept this club running smoothly!"

Qin Ruohan's smile grew colder. "And don't you forget who gave you, a nobody from some third-rate college, a platform to prove yourself. I don't expect you to be grateful, but I do hope that in the future, you'll act a bit more humbly."

"Qin Ruohan! It's either me or him. If he stays, I'm leaving!" Fu Jianfeng growled, feeling like his dignity had been trampled on all night.

Without turning her head, Qin Ruohan started to walk away. "You're free to submit your resignation at any time."

"What? Are you insane?" Fu Jianfeng couldn't believe his ears. "Qin Ruohan, this is how you repay me after all I've done? Without me, you couldn't keep this club running!"

Qin Ruohan paused but didn't explain herself. Instead, she said emotionlessly, "If you want to stay here, let me give you some advice: don't mess with Chen Liuhe, don't go against him. Stay out of anything he's involved in. As you said, he's extremely dangerous. If you provoke him, not even I will be able to save you."

With that, she walked away, her heels tapping elegantly against the floor.

"You've all lost your minds! I'll make you all pay for this!" Fu Jianfeng muttered venomously, his eyes full of hatred.

Meanwhile, outside in the courtyard, Chen Liuhe was enjoying the quiet night with Shen Qingwu. He ended his call and looked up at the bright moon, a soft smile forming on his lips as he shook his head.

"Brother, is something wrong?" Shen Qingwu, sitting in her wheelchair, asked softly. She always seemed so calm, even in the face of adversity. A year ago, when she had been betrayed and left without support, she never lost her composure, never begged for mercy.

"It's nothing. Just some small fry causing trouble at Qin Ruohan's club tonight. I sorted it out." After a brief pause, Chen Liuhe added, "But Qin Ruohan, that little minx, has some schemes of her own. I think she's trying to stir up trouble with those guys. I just realized tonight, she has a bit of ambition."

Shen Qingwu nodded slightly. "A lot of people are forced to adapt. When life is comfortable and easy, they can afford to be carefree. But when fate crushes them, they have no choice but to fight back."

"What worries me is when someone has the ambition to fight but lacks the intelligence and skills to match it. Those kinds of people usually end up playing with fire." Chen Liuhe leaned back lazily in his chair.

"Brother, the 'intelligence and skills' you speak of might be better described as the experience and hard lessons this cruel world teaches us." Shen Qingwu tilted her head and smiled.

"Haha, you got me there. I'm just a rough and uncultured guy, no attention to details." Chen Liuhe laughed, not at all discouraged by her words.

His sister, with her genius-level intellect, was as brilliant in wisdom and knowledge as he was in strength. Many had once called him a monster, but just as many had called Shen Qingwu a prodigy.

"But you're fluent in seven languages." Shen Qingwu's comment was sharp and to the point.

Chen Liuhe chuckled and shook his head. So what if he was fluent in seven languages? No matter where he went, people always spoke to him in broken Chinese. Rarely did he ever need to use a foreign language.

According to him, learning multiple languages was just so that when people cursed at him, he could curse right back—no matter what language they used.

"Brother, life has been so uneventful lately. I feel like I'm wasting away. I want to do something." Shen Qingwu said suddenly, glancing at him carefully.

Chen Liuhe paused, his brow twitching slightly. "Afraid I can't take care of you?"

Shen Qingwu shook her head softly. "Brother, you know that's not it."

Chen Liuhe sighed, nodded, and asked, "Alright, so what kind of work would interest someone as talented as you, someone even the Liu Group couldn't hire?"

The Liu Group, one of the top ten companies in China, had offered Shen Qingwu an honorary advisor position three years ago, but she had turned them down, causing quite a stir at her university in Beijing.

Shen Qingwu blinked and tugged at his sleeve. "Tutoring."

"Tutoring?" Chen Liuhe raised an eyebrow in surprise. Shen Qingwu nodded. "I want to tutor a child in elementary school."

Chen Liuhe's eyes flashed with surprise, and he laughed. "Wow, they really dared to ask you, a genius who was almost invited to join the Chinese Academy of Sciences at sixteen, to tutor? They're not afraid of cutting their lifespan short?"

After a pause, he asked, "Alright, tell me. What's their background?"

"Their last name is Zhao." Shen Qingwu quietly replied.

Chen Liuhe's eyes narrowed. "Zhao from Hangzhou?"

"The very same Zhao family you're thinking of," she confirmed.

After a few moments of silence, Chen Liuhe laughed again, this time with a hint of amusement. "Well, this is interesting. The Zhao family has some guts. Given the current situation, they still want to associate with us?"

With a hint of self-mockery, he added, "Ever since Grandpa passed away, everyone sees the Shen family as fallen. We're like pests—nobody wants to step on us, but everyone finds us disgusting."

"Brother, you're wrong about one thing. In the eyes of most people, yes, the Shen family has fallen. But in the eyes of a few truly wise individuals, as long as you're still here, who would dare say the Shen family is done for?" Shen Qingwu said with an unmatched confidence. "Even the most powerful families in Beijing wouldn't dare say that."

Once, Chen Liuhe's name alone could make the most influential families tremble. He wasn't part of the elite circles, but many elites feared him like the plague.

Back when he was considered a national treasure, he wasn't part of the princelings, yet many of them treated him with deep respect.

Chen Liuhe didn't respond to her praise. Instead, he commented, "The Zhao family may not be much in the deep waters of Beijing, but in Hangzhou, they're at least somewhat respectable."

He paused for a moment before asking, "So, have you thought it through? Getting involved with the Zhao family might mean your peaceful days are truly over."

While Chen Liuhe had never interacted with the Zhao family, and they were from two different cities, he had heard some things.

The Zhao family in Hangzhou was a local powerhouse, not particularly large but influential in both business and politics. However, after the death of their elder patriarch, the family's influence had waned, though a few capable members of the younger generation had kept them afloat.

In short, the Zhao family wasn't on par with the top families in Beijing, but in Hangzhou, they were second-tier, hovering around the edges of first-tier.

What surprised Chen Liuhe was that the first family to approach them happened to be the Zhaos. It seemed that ever since his grandfather passed, the Shen family had been forgotten
