Chapter0154 Unexpected Developments

"You've set such a meticulous ambush. It's impossible you only sent three people, right? If you really wanted to kill me, you'd at least have a sniper hidden somewhere, a silent assassin! So it's not hard to guess. In this alley, the only spot that could cover all angles is the rooftop at three o'clock." Chen Liuhe said casually.

"Since you know this, you still dared to expose yourself within the sniper's sight? Heh, kill me if you want, but you'll die too!" The gunman's expression turned cold, a vicious grin spreading across his face.

"You're really too naïve. Don't you think it's strange that the sniper hasn't made a move for so long?" Chen Liuhe said meaningfully, raising his hand and pointing to the direction of three o'clock. "You can take a look now. See if there's still any sign of a sniper there."

The gunman looked up, and at that moment, a beam of light flashed from the rooftop—a flashlight. In the dim glow, the gunman vaguely saw a man standing on the roof.

The man wasn't tall, looking rather thin. His face was hard to make out, but his large, yellow teeth were unmistakable. The man bent down and dragged someone out, kicking the unconscious body off the rooftop like a discarded fish.

"How is that possible?" The gunman's eyes widened in disbelief. How could their sniper be taken down so silently? They hadn't noticed anything!

"Why not? This sniper position wasn't set up very cleverly. It was easy to take out." Chen Liuhe said nonchalantly.

From the moment he entered the alley and lit his cigarette, Chen Liuhe had already spotted Huang Baiwan grinning on the rooftop. Just because others' vision was obstructed by the darkness didn't mean Chen Liuhe was blind. His eyes had long adapted to scanning any environment, and the faintest glow was enough for him to see clearly.

"Alright, now that your last bit of luck has run out, are you ready to tell me who's behind all this?" Chen Liuhe asked softly.

"Don't you know who you've offended?" The gunman asked, defeated.

Chen Liuhe shook his head. "You'd better not test my patience. This is your last chance. I'll give you three seconds to decide." Chen Liuhe eyed him coldly. "We all know the saying: 'Men die for wealth, birds die for food.' But you don't have to die. Why not give yourself a way out?"

"If I tell you, will you really let me go?" A flicker of struggle appeared in the gunman's eyes.

"Of course. I'm a man of my word," Chen Liuhe nodded.

The gunman hesitated for a moment but ultimately couldn't overcome his fear of death. Gritting his teeth, he said, "The Qiao family!"

"Good. You no longer have any reason to exist in this world. Goodbye." Chen Liuhe waved his hand, the smile on his face unwavering as his thumb moved lightly to the gunman's throat.

The gunman, overwhelmed by panic, tried to resist, his eyes filled with fear. "You broke your promise!"

"Sorry, I never keep promises with my enemies." As those words fell, Chen Liuhe's thumb pressed down sharply. The gunman's expression and body froze in that instant, his eyes filled with hatred and disbelief as he died, his life extinguished.

Just as the gunman collapsed to the ground, it was as if everything had been planned. Several black cars suddenly charged into the alley, their headlights glaring, almost tearing through the not-so-deep alleyway.

The scene inside the alley became crystal clear, especially the three corpses lying on the ground—an utterly horrifying sight!

Chen Liuhe's expression tightened. Shielding his eyes from the blinding light, he looked toward the three cars...
