Chapter 1

Oleander`S POV

I stared at the lady sitting in front of me as she drank her drink.

'Why did you call me out here, Emma?"

"I realized that we have never sat down to have a normal conversation like every other sibling does. I just want to change that for us." she scoffed back.

"I am not dumb, Emma. Tell me why you called me over. I have things to do." Eliott would be home soon. I need to prepare his meal. I sighed as I stared at the time on my phone. I wondered why I agreed to meet up with her. Maybe, I thought that they had finally accepted me as one of theirs.

"Why do you keep staring at your phone screen? You just got here and you are planning on leaving already? That's no fun darling."

She faked a disappointed look and I rolled my eyes.

"Unlike you, Emma, I do have a family. I need to prepare for my husband's return. He will be home anytime soon." I smiled and looked into her eyes knowing how much she was getting annoyed by my talks.

"Of course, you can't relate. I almost forgot that you were still single considering the fact that you are my twin sister." I said and sipped my wine knowing that she was probably thinking of ways to kill.

"Well, I think that we should talk about that since that is the main reason I called you over."

I looked up to see her smirking.

"Aren't you too old to be playing kiddies' games?" I asked her.

"You are right; I didn't call you over to have a chat with you. We've never been close and we will never be."

"Spit it out already. I've got to prepare for my husband. I know you don't understand that."

She chuckled maniacally and I stared at her not getting it.

"The same husband that spent the weekend with me or are we talking about another one?"

I almost choked on my drink.

"Stop trying to create chaos in my home because you don't have one." I said with my eyes glued at hers.

"Of course, you wouldn't believe me. You trust him that much. Take this." She threw an envelope at me. I stared at her warily then I began to tear it open. It was a test result.

"What is this? Are you dying anytime soon? How many days do you have left?"

"I believe you know how to read clearly. Go through the results. I'm sure you will be the one leaving anytime soon." She said confidently.

I stared at her once more and proceeded to read the contents of the paper.

"You are pregnant," I said and she smiled. It was then I noticed that she had ordered a pineapple drink instead of her usual champagne.

"Yes darling, and guess who my baby's father is?" I shook my head at her disbelievingly and she nodded her head. She could be trying to make me believe her lies for all I know.

"Yes, Eliott is the father of my unborn baby."

"Do you expect me to believe such baseless accusations? I am not dumb, Emma. I know what you are trying to do here."

"I know it's hard for you to believe but, Eliott never broke up with me. He couldn't bring himself to do that. Did you think that all the excuses he gave were real? Even Elon Musk doesn't have a schedule that's as tight as that. He spent most of his time with me and that is how we made a baby." She rubbed her abdomen and I chuckled hard.

She was lying. She had to be, because I was close to losing my mind.

"You are just a bitter woman who is still stuck in the past, Emma, grow up. Quit trying to destroy my marriage. I won you years ago when he chose me over you."

Emma laughed dryly and shook her head at me.

"Is that what you were made to believe for the past five years? Check your social media accounts girl. The algorithms never lie. Oops, I forgot that you deleted your social media accounts because of your marriage."

"Social media never carries any real news. The reason I deleted my accounts was because…"

"Eliott didn't want you to be picked on by the media. Why do you look so shocked? Of course, he told me everything that was going on in your marriage."

"Why should I believe you?" I asked her as tears threatened to spill out.

"I know that you are dumb but I didn't expect you to be this dumb considering the fact that we are twins. He wanted you off social media because he didn't want you to be attacked by the media. Girl, he isn't the first billionaire to get married and your marriage was never announced to the public. He is still a bachelor in the eyes of the public so what do you think he was trying to keep you safe from?"

"All those events he restricted you from attending, he attended them with me by his side. You are nothing but a decoration forced on him." The truth had always been there but I wasn't ready to accept it yet. I guess I wanted to hear it from someone else.

"If you still don't believe me, then maybe you should ask him yourself."

"Why are you telling me this?" I asked, trying to keep my voice normal. I wasn't going to let her know that I was breaking inside.

She laughed and rolled her eyes.

"Because you made a huge mistake darling. He was never yours from the beginning. Don't think that you can manipulate everyone into believing that you are the victim just the same way you did with my grandparents. Let's not forget that you are the reason behind the problems in my family. You thought you could take everything away from me?"

I grabbed my handbag, unable to listen to what she was saying.

I couldn't believe that I was fooled for five complete years. She stopped talking. I couldn't bring myself to look at her face. I didn't want to see the look of victory on her face. I was barely holding myself from crying.

I turned to go but when my hand touched the handle of the door, she called my name and I turned to look at her avoiding her eyes.

"If I were you, I would divorce him immediately and leave this country. You don't deserve someone like him. He needs a strong woman like me by his side, not a housewife who is ready to do everything he says without asking questions."
