Serena Snape: Love of Magic - chapter 77

Author's Notes: Chapter edited and corrected by Scott Fellman.

Serena Pov

Eating chocolate snacks while reading a book, sitting comfortably on a sofa in the castle's living room. Perhaps it wasn't the best way to pass the time during a Rating Game, even if the snacks were delicious. Still, I didn't need to worry. I knew that Bella could easily handle it, so I let myself go while reading the book about holy magic. The minutes passed quickly until-

"KAZIKLI BEY!!"

I looked up from my book and looked out the window, stakes rising all over the horizon. Bella had already started.

"Ooo-eight p-pawns, 2 rooks, 1 bishop, and 2 knights of Riser were defeated and eliminated from the battlefield." I blinked several times.

"Well, that was fast." I muttered to myself, I knew not to expect anything against Riser's Peerage; he was one of the first 'villains' to appear in the series, but he wasn't particularly strong. Outside of his regeneration from his clan trait, there wasn't much that particularly stood out about him.

It wasn't to belittle them, but their Peerage wasn't anything exceptional. None of the girls who made up Riser's Peerage had cost more pieces than the minimum ones used to reincarnate, which spoke volumes about their potential. They didn't have any special bloodline, no talent capable of breaking the system, and none of them had any Sacred Gear. The only one who had any kind of talent was the queen.

Still, I didn't think Bella's stakes could take out most of the Peerage at once. Or... maybe I was already used to being impaled, and it was easy to dodge. I shrugged and ate another sandwich. I wrinkled my nose as the smell of burning flesh reached me.

"You big brute! Do you know who I am?! I'm Ravel Phenex! You can't treat me like this! When my brother finds out-" I looked up at the muffled voice coming from outside the room, getting closer and closer until finally the door swung open.

A Koloss crouched down and clumsily stepped through the door. I raised an eyebrow when I saw that he had Ravel caught in one of his hands.

"Y-you! Tell this brute to let me go! This is no way to treat a lady! " Ravel growled angrily as fire erupted from her body. I raised an eyebrow at her.

"Go back to Bella," I said to the Koloss. The Koloss didn't even give a response before it began to melt into the shadows and disappear, leaving Ravel free. Ravel stood up and began to straighten her dress with a sullen look, she was older than in the series but not by much, maybe a year or two. Which would put her at the age of 17~18 years old. The same age as Rias. I turned my gaze back to the book in my hand.

"Finally! I have to go back to my brother and Yubelluna to warn him-" I waved my hand without looking up and cast a colloportus at all the doors and windows in the room. One by one they slammed shut and magically locked. Ravel was startled before trying to open one of the doors only for the door to not budge in any way.

Ravel growled and walked towards another door, only to get the same result. She stomped her foot on the ground in a petulant manner and walked over to the window annoyedly. The window didn't budge either.

"Stupid doors! Stupid windows! " Ravel growled and threw a fireball at the window. A quick Unbreakable Charm on the glass and the window was practically unscathed, she growled and turned to me with a scowl. "Open the door." She ordered. I ignored her and continued reading calmly as I turned the page.

"Would you like some tea?" I offered to Ravel, she scrunched up her face.

"Of course not! Stop playing and open the door -"

"Riser Phenex's queen has been defeated and removed from the battlefield!" The announcement came quickly, and Ravel paled considerably.

"No," Ravel gasped. she gritted her teeth and looked at me. "My brother won't lose, no matter how many of his Peerage has been defeated." Ravel said confidently.

"So, why are you so upset?" I asked her, raising an eyebrow. She just frowned.

"I'm not upset," she said as she composed herself. I nodded.

"In that case, tea?" I asked again as I waved my hands once more. The teapot began pouring water into one of the cups before flying towards Ravel's front, she just blinked.

"No thanks." Ravel waved her hand to shoo the cup away as she gritted her teeth. I pushed the cup away from her. "My brother will defeat you." She said without any hesitation. I shrugged noncommittally.

"Maybe, but first it has to get past my queen, until that time comes, keep quiet, I'm reading a good book." I said simply. I could see her eye twitch.

"I'm serious. You don't stand a chance against my brother, you better give up already, this is a waste of time." Ravel insisted forcefully, I hummed lightly.

"Really? How scary. Now keep quiet while I am horrified by the horror your brother will cause me." I said dryly as I turned the page, and she crossed her arms.

"You should. My brother is the strongest ! You'll see! " Ravel added forcefully. I just turned the page. "Your queen doesn't stand a chance, any moment now you'll hear your impaler queen defeated." Well that was a good title really, Impaler Queen , I'm sure Bella would love it if that title was kept.

"I'm sure my queen will manage, now, please be quiet. You're distracting me." I said simply. She tossed her curly hair back haughtily.

"There is no shame in losing to my brother; it is inevitable. After all -"

BAM! I slammed the book shut, making her jump, and I sighed.

"Is it so hard to keep quiet?" I asked tiredly. Ravel blushed slightly but crossed her arms.

"I don't have to please you." She said simply, I rolled my eyes.

"Okay, let's make a deal." I said as I pulled a box out from under my skirt to hide the fact that I was taking it out of my inventory.

"Wha-how? Where did that come from? " Ravel asked confused. I placed the box on the small tea table and opened the box where there were several potions inside.

"You know, I really pride myself on my potion-making skills, it's one of my best specialties. And I was curious to see how these potions would react against the Phenex. With their regeneration and all. I was planning on using them on your brother, but you'll do," I said simply. Ravel raised an eyebrow with her arms crossed.

"And why do you think I would do what you asked me?" she asked mockingly, I hummed.

"My queen is still alive and your brother is still not here, that means they are still fighting. Do you really want to risk not helping your brother? " I asked amusedly as I brought the box towards Ravel. Ravel gritted her teeth and fell silent.

"I only have to drink one of them?" Ravel asked while glaring at me, I nodded.

"Just one, any of them are good options, none of them are lethal" I whispered like the devil's advocate. Ravel gritted her teeth and stepped forward and began to look at the potions .

"What are their affects?" she asked as she grabbed the potions and began to inspect them. She took one out and opened the bottle, a small pink heart popping out of it. The scent immediately filled the room. "Oh? This smells good," Ravel said confused, as she took a closer look.

"Amortentia, the strongest love potion I'm able to create. Its scent is different for each person, its smell changes to the things the person finds most attractive." I said simply. Ravel's eyes widened.

" Love potions don't exist," she said confidently, and I laughed amusedly.

" Are you sure? Then you'll have nothing to fear if you drink it," I said with a mocking smile. Ravel wrinkled her nose before looking at the potion suspiciously. She seemed to consider it for a few seconds. "Just kidding, it's best if you don't drink-" Ravel placed the bottle in her mouth and drank the potion completely. "-the love potion …" Shit, this may have been a really bad idea.

Really, I just wanted to test the susceptibility of the Phenex physiology to see if non-lethal potions could have any effect on their systems. It would be an easier way to defeat Riser without the need to use Harpe. I thought that I was doomed to fight against demons with high regeneration.

I stared at Ravel to see if the potion was starting to take effect. Ravel looked at the bottle in her hand with a frown before her eyes began to glaze over and immediately her eyes focused on me. Ravel blushed slightly and squirmed in place.

"hh-hello! Y-you're so pretty! " Ravel squealed, blushing completely. I closed my eyes tightly, yeah, I didn't really think it through… again.

"Thanks Ravel, you too," I said without a hint of emotion. Ravel gasped loudly.

"You know my name." Ravel muttered before breaking out into a huge bright smile. "You know my name!" she said again excitedly, "and you think I'm pretty!" Ravel looked like she was about to faint. Okay, this had to end. I reached under my skirt once more and pulled out the antidote to the love potion. Ravel gasped again, this time completely horrified. "I don't know your name!" Ravel moaned heartbrokenly.

"My name is Serena Prince." I said simply, Ravel smiled brightly again.

"Serena Prince. Serena. Serena. Hehehe. It's a nice name. I like Prince too. Ravel Prince. It fits well! Hehehe." Ravel laughed almost drunk, I resisted the urge to moan loudly.

"Now Ravel, why don't you drink this?" I asked, handing her the antidote. Ravel's eyes shone brightly.

"A gift from Serena?! Oh, I'm delighted!" Ravel said, almost fainting and stepped forward to grab the potion only to stop and look at me guiltily. "I... can you hug me, please?!" she asked almost desperately, I made a face.

"Only if you drink this first," I encouraged her. Ravel scrunched up her face before pouting.

"But I want you to hug me first." Ravel said as she puffed out her cheeks. For the love of-

"… okay," I finally said as I gave in. Ravel's expression turned back into a bright smile before she lunged at me. She hugged me tightly. She was shorter than me, so her face was in the crook of my neck, which she took advantage of and practically buried herself there. I bit my lip as I felt Ravel's nubile body. It was completely soft and had curves in all the right places.

The Phenex family was going to kill me. I had no doubt.

"Now you can drink the flask?" I asked hoarsely. Ravel shook her head, still buried in my neck and making me shudder.

"No… you still haven't hugged me." Ravel said childishly. I sighed heavily but didn't move, my arms still extended out from Ravel's body. Ravel groaned in disappointment but still began to kiss my neck with butterfly kisses.

"Ravel, stop." I muttered through gritted teeth.

"No… not until you hold me." She said as she continued to kiss patches of skin. She grew bolder and kissed harder. This is bad, this is so bad, if she kept going I would do something I would regret. It had been a while since I had lost control of my body. Not since Bella, and I didn't want to start now.

I tried to pull Ravel away from me, but she held on with all the strength she had. That backfired hard because I could now feel her entire body pressed against mine. Her hands dug into my back, making me shudder slightly. Finally, I broke when I felt her lips on the corner of my mouth.

I grabbed Ravel, forcefully pulling her away from my body and turning her around before dragging her over to the couch, sitting her on my lap and pressing her tightly against my chest. My right hand immediately went to her neck and squeezed lightly. My other hand was on her flat stomach. Ravel moaned lightly, which prompted me to go further.

I pulled down the collar of Ravel's dress and began kissing her neck hard. I kissed, licked, sucked and left bites all over her neck without a care in the world. My other hand began to move up Ravel's belly until I reached her breast. I grabbed the mound tightly and squeezed it.

" Umgh! Ravel's muffled moan was exquisite. Ravel was writhing sweetly on my lap, driving me crazy.

My hands continued to play with Ravel's body as if it were completely mine. My hand was still massaging her breast with dedication. While the other one started to move down and stopped on Ravel's thigh.

I finally stopped attacking her neck, but continued to kiss every bit of skin that was visible, her jaw, her cheek, her ears, the back of her neck. That one was particularly susceptible by the way she shuddered.

So I lightly bit the back of her neck.

" Aahh ! M- more ! " Ravel's moan was music to my ears. I slowly moved my hand up her leg and slowly made my way to her inner thigh. Ravel was breathing raggedly, but she spread her legs to give me more access to her. She grabbed her skirt and shakily lifted it up. My hand ran up her completely bare skin and-

BAM! I jumped completely at the loud noise. Finally snapping out of my lustful state I looked up. The door had been completely smashed. Inside it was a very angry Riser, but worse. A very pissed off Bellatrix.

SHIT, SHIT, SHIT, SHIT, SHIT, SHIT, SHIT, SHIT, SHIT, SHIT-

I moved my head to the side just in time for a stake to go through the spot where my forehead had been.

"It's not what it looks like!" I exclaimed in panic as I raised both hands. Bella glared at me.

"What are you doing to my sister!?" Riser exclaimed furiously as he entered the room.

"...brother?" Ravel asked with ragged breaths, her glassy gaze turning to Riser.

"Ravel, get away from her! I'll kill you for daring to touch her! " Riser exclaimed. I could see his veins popping out on his forehead.

"…No." Ravel said more firmly than he expected.

"Ravel?" Riser asked in confusion. Ravel stood up shakily.

"You can't hurt her! I... I'm in love with her, bro! I'll marry her! " Ravel exclaimed loudly. My body automatically moved to avoid the half-dozen stakes that were thrown in my direction.

"Can you stop trying to impale me! It's not my fault! " I exclaimed in Bella's direction, she just glared at me.

"No! You just met her! " Riser said in disbelief as he ignored both of us. Ravel shook her head.

"It doesn't matter, bro. I love her; I want to spend the rest of my life with her! She's… she's the love of my life! She's beautiful, her hair is… I have no words. And her eyes, her black eyes with stars are so-"

"W-what did you do to my sister! That's not Ravel! " Riser exclaimed angrily in my direction while interrupting Ravel from her rambling.

"She drank a love potion , let me fix this" I said simply before walking over to Ravel and holding out the antidote "Ravel, we already hugged, now can you drink this?" I asked pitifully. Ravel.

"Of course, my love!" Ravel exclaimed with a bright smile in my direction. She turned around and took the bottle.

"Wait, Ravel, No!" Riser exclaimed, stepping forward to try to stop his sister, but Ravel was faster and drank the antidote completely. He sighed in relief. "What did you just give my sister?! Speak!? " Riser exclaimed furiously.

"The antidote, I already told you," I said simply. Riser continued to frown but stepped back and looked at Ravel.

"Are you happy my love? I did as you asked" Ravel said with a smile before her expression became more shy, her hands went to the bow on her neck and pulled on it. I paled considerably… she won't do it… or will she? "Since I was a good girl… shall we continue where we left off?" Ravel asked shyly. Her light purple dress fell to the floor leaving her practically in her underwear. My eyes widened at that.

I immediately felt the stakes driven into my body, but my gaze never moved from the half-naked Ravel. I have to thank Bella in part, otherwise, I would have already moved to grab Ravel.

"W-what?! Ravel!? What are you doing!? You said it was the antidote, you liar!! " Riser's body completely caught fire.

"Brother?" Ravel asked as she began to blink several times. It seemed to take a few seconds for the antidote to take effect.

"Ravel! Are you okay?! " Riser asked frantically as he approached his sister. Ravel looked at him in confusion, she seemed disoriented but her expression was quickly clearing up. She then looked at me and froze completely, shakily looking down at her body. After a few seconds her face went from white to green to red to white and finally to completely red.

Okay, once the Rating Game is over, I just have to escape far away to avoid the Phenex.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!"

SLAAAP!!!

I deserve that slap.

Author's Notes: I'll start by saying that... none of this Ravel stuff was planned. I started writing the chapters and somehow ended up here. That means, I didn't plan this at all so I'm kind of in the middle of nowhere regarding Ravel. I hadn't planned for Ravel to get together with Serena so for now, it'll remain in limbo.

We'll see how this continues to develop and whether or not Ravel joins permanently, but for now it's indefinite.

Thanks for reading and for your support!
