Jon was busy preparing something else, which was to spend time with Naomi. After carefully interrogating her many times over about Elisabeth, he had decided that he would need her to get closer to his mother.
Why did he, someone who had the power to see the world as vast currents of waters upon which laws flow from and he could submerge others into, someone who was close to being called a demigod if not one, would not talk to his mother?
He was scared. It was that simple: scared that his mother would just throw him away again and refuse to talk to him. That was not what was going to happen, never again.
And so, here he was, using Naomi as a companion to get closer to his mother, as well as a sort of test to try and understand people more.
Naomi, on the other hand, was scared out of her mind; in her perspective, there was this nearly all-powerful child telling her what to do, and of course, she complied to the end.
