Eden gave a sly little grin. Why does she think that is? It's because Nasiah understood deep down that he needed someone like her. That she ensured her words would strike a chord with him, a symbiotic relationship formed out of both of their desires.
She longed for this chance and would use any moment to ensure she got closer to him so that her goal could finally be within reach.
"He told you that himself, did he not? He simply found someone like me, who would be able to play the contrarian, as someone he would need by his side. And I'm sure you can see why."
The poet's eyes shifted as it directed Myrym to look at Phanuel and Elyia.
"Nasiah is a wonderful speaker, but even his voice can get drowned out by those who can shout more than they can think."
She had a point; perhaps if it had not been for them, the battle would have been avoided, but they would have still needed to cross either way.
