It's been three days since Chase got married to Zara. These three days had been the best in his life after a very long time.

Unlike Katherine and Raven who always loved to make his life a living hell for him, Zara was different. She was lively and always loved indulging in every phase of her life.

This morning, since it was the weekend, they had a late breakfast and at the moment, Chase was in the living room while Zara was preparing to meet with her friends like she always did during the weekends.

Scrolling through TV channels absentmindedly, he had his hand under his chin as he thought of the direction his life was now headed.

He was tired of sitting at home idle all through the day and it seemed Wembley was finding it difficult to find the right spot for his proposed restaurant.

Zara had no idea about this plan, she strongly believed that he was hunting for a job whereas he wasn't even making any move.

Digging his finger into his hair, he let out a low sigh and then reached out for his phone on the couch.

Disappointed since Wembley was yet to call him, he tossed his phone to the side and then began to shake his legs widely, frustration, gnawing on him.

Still in this state, he began to hear approaching footsteps and at once he pretended that all was well, staring at the TV like his life depended on it.

"I'm heading out, I will be back before nightfall," Zara called at him. She was currently standing at the foot of the stairs.

"Okay, have fun." He didn't bother to look in her direction. For a moment, Zara maintained her position, her gaze fixed on him.

Chase didn't need to tell her that he was bothered before she knew it since it radiated all over him.

Just when she was about to start probing into what the issue was, the door flung open and Raven stepped in. Surprised to see her, he pulled himself up, his brows scrunched up as he started back at her.

With her brows knotted in a frown, Raven looked around the living room only to roll her eyes in disgust.

Turning towards Zara, she folded her hands across her chest, "If I was told that you'll stoop so low to become a bride to this lowlife that had nothing to offer, I wouldn't have believed."

Now walking further into the living room, she said, "It's just three days and so you haven't lost your touch yet. Trust me, in three weeks, it wouldn't be the same, talkless of three months."

"Trust me, you will come running back to me and Mom for help and you're going to sweat before you get it, it's a promise."

Rolling her eyes to the back of her head, Zara crossed her hands on her chest and with a scowl on her face asked, "Why are you here?"

"This is one of my properties and I need to ensure that it's still in good condition." She replied with a smirk.

Shifting her gaze from her, she turned towards Chase whose gaze had still been on the door since she walked in earlier. Still having her hands across her chest, she walked up to him.

"Have you lost your manners in just three days?" She asked.

Chase wanted to apologize with his head bent to the ground as usual but before he could even think of doing so, Raven raised her hand in readiness to slap him but her hit was intercepted by Zara who was holding her hand.

"Let go this minute," Raven yelled, trying to free her grip but Zara held on, her eyes blazing red with anger.

"Aren't you tired of humiliating him?" She yelled in her face.

"What?"

"I'm going to make sure you pay for this," Zara yelled and then pushed her away, still wearing a scowl.

Surprised by Zara's reaction, Raven couldn't help but stare at her with her lips slightly parted.

Now holding Chase's shoulder, she peered into his eyes, "Are you alright?" She asked and he nodded, dumbfounded with the scene that had just played out in front of him.

Since he got to know Raven, this was the first time something of this sort was happening. Not even her mother had been able to speak to her in this manner but Zara just did and she couldn't do anything about it.

Pressing her lips into a thin line, Raven pushed her hair away from her face.

"I will be back for you." She yelled.

"Get out," Zara replied, opening the door widely for her.

"You're going to regret this Zara."

"I said get out this minute. Should I push you out?" She asked with a coy smile. Seeing that Zara meant her words, Raven gave Chase one last look, and with her head bowed in shame, she stuttered out and at once Zara banged the door in her face.

"Why did you do that?" Chase asked, closing the gap between him and Zara. Holding her shoulders, he leaned in and with a pleading tone said, "Your sister is mad at you."

"As if I care." She shot back.

After removing imaginary dust and freckles from her clothes, she snapped her head upwards and with a hard and icy tone said, "The next time I witness this, I will never forgive you." The next second, she was out and had banged the door shut.

Pushing his hand into his hair, he fell on the couch, his eyes tightly shut as he reviewed the scene that just happened.

The look of shock on Raven's face made his lips twitch into a smile but when he remembered the face of an angry Katherine, he pressed his lips into a thin line.

He already knew Katherine was going to get involved in this and at once, he began to fear the worst.

"What am I going to do now? I will have to apologize, otherwise we will be rendered homeless." He muttered.

Pulling himself up, he reached out for his phone only for the device to start ringing in his hand.
