PRESENT DAY IN THE MAGICAL REALM
Lord lungu and Lady Lungu are sitting near the magical circle waiting for their three daughters who are astral projecting. Their daughters have been gone for hours. They should have been back by now. The morning light can be seen from their bedroom window.
"Do you think they found their sister?" Lord Lungu asks. Lord lungu did not know that he had another daughter until a few hours ago when the seer told him about the vision of his fated mate. But Lady Lungu told him that the woman the seer saw in his vision was his daughter. According to Lady Lungu his other daughter is in the human realm where her mother, his fated mate Princess Rose took her for protection.
"Yes, I think they did find her. Don't worry everything will be okay."
"Nothing will be okay, Ruby. What if the brotherhood reaches her before we are to bring her to the magical realm?"
"The brotherhood will not lay a single hand on her."
Lady Lungu responds with a reassuring tone. She has always had a strong intuition and a deep connection with their daughters, so she trusts that they will be able to locate their long-lost sister in the human realm. If anything had happened to one of them she would have known.
As they wait, the magical circle begins to glow with a soft, ethereal light. The air around them shimmers with energy. Suddenly, the three daughters open their eyes, their faces filled with excitement and joy.
"We found her, her name is Belladonna Aconitum. She looks exactly like Princess Rose." Sarah says as she leaves the enchanted circle.
"Is she alright?" Lady Lungu asks in concern.
"No, Mother she is not." Racheal answers.
"What do you mean? What's wrong with her?" Lord lungu asks.
"Since her powers have been dormant since the time she was born, it's now coming at the same time. It's like every energy wants to be let out and it is overwhelming her. Her dragon and wolf also want to be let out since she has never shifted before. The wolf and the dragon in her are both restless." Racheal explains.
"Oh, the spirits, what are we going to do? She has to come here, I have to bring her here and find a solution." Lady Lungu says as she gets up from a chair he is sitting on.
"Mother calm down," Racheal says.
"How can I be calm, my dear? I had promised Princess Rose that I would protect her but look at me right now. We need her here before the Brotherhood finds her."
"Your Mother is right, we can not be calm until we know she is safe." Lord Lungu who had not a word since his daughters returned says.
"Look Father and Mother, we know this is hard for you, but it's even harder for us because we have met her and seen the pain her magic is causing her. We managed to reduce her pain before we left but we are not sure how long the spell will last. When we were near her we felt so weak. Her aura is so strong I think that is why she is finding it hard to control her magic." Sarah explains.
"Sarah is right, I have never met a being with such a powerful aura. She could even see and hear us even though we were cloaked." Racheal says.
"What do you mean she could see you? Maybe you made a mistake when casting the spell. There is no way she could have seen you." Lady Lungu says.
"But it is true Mother, she was able to see us even though we were clocked. Other beings in the house could not see us but she did. She is very powerful, mother." Nichole says.
"Her aura was both awe-inspiring and terrifying. I do not think she even knows how powerful she is. The guardians do not seem to know either." Racheal says.
As lord lungu listens to his daughters as they talk about Belladonna, he remembers what Seer Kangwa told him twenty-two years ago. Could his daughter with Princess Rose be the child of prophecy? Twenty-two years ago, the Great seer told him that one of his daughters was the child of prophecy.
"Who does your sister live with?" Lord lungu asks his daughter. The three young sisters look at each other not knowing how to tell their father about the guardians who have been taking care of Belladonna.
"She lives with our Uncle lord mike." Rachael finally says.
"What?" is the only thing that comes out of his mouth.
Lord Lungu and his brother, Lord Mike, were once inseparable. Growing up in the magical realm, they shared a bond that seemed unbreakable. Even when Lord Mike was called to begin his training as a guardian at the age of fifteen, they remained close. However, as they both started their own families, the relationship began to change.
Despite rarely seeing each other, Lord Lungu and Lord Mike still held a deep love for one another. That all changed twenty-seven years ago during the Great War. The Brotherhood had found a way to control guardians, and Lord Mike, along with some others, decided to leave the magical realm for the human realm. Guardians are supposed to protect other magical beings, but if they are being controlled they will end up killing those they were meant to protect.
While many guardians eventually returned to the magical realm after the war ended, Lord Mike refused to go back. This decision tore apart the bond between the two brothers. Lord Lungu, who had pleaded with his brother to come back and help lead the Great Mountains after their father's passing, was left heartbroken when Lord Mike refused.
In the end, Lord Lungu had no choice but to cut ties with his brother. The betrayal was too great, and the consequences of Lord Mike's actions were too severe. Despite the love that once bound them together, their relationship was irreparably damaged.
Family and blood are the most sacred in the magical realm, bonds are said to be unbreakable, but betrayal can still tear apart even the closest of siblings. Lord Lungu's decision to cut ties with his brother was a painful one, but he thought it was necessary.
Lord Lungu was forced to lead his people alone, mourning the loss of his beloved father and the brother he once held so dear. And now hearing that his daughter is with the traitor of a brother he can't help but be furious.
"You saw your uncle?" Lady Lungu asks them.
"Yes, Mother we did. We did not just see him, we talked to him. We know you told us to be cloaked at all times but we needed to help Belladonna. Her powers were so out of control she would have hurt herself." Nichole explains.
"So your sister is with Mike?" Lord lungu asks after some time.
"Yes, Father but he refused to bring her here. He thinks her life will be in danger if she comes to the magical realm." Nichole says.
"How dare he? That's my daughter, not his. What right does he have to stop her from coming here? I will go to the human realm and show him what it is like to cross me." Lord lungu says anger evident in his eyes as his eyes turn green to show his wolf's presence.
"Father, you need to calm down. I know you are angry right now but please don't make any decision that will make Belladonna hate you. She has known Uncle Mike as her father for the past twenty-one years. If you do something to him she will never forgive you." Sarah says. Sarah might be the youngest but her intelligence is beyond her age.
"Your daughter is right. We need to calm down and think about what to do next. Something that has nothing to do with tearing each other apart." Lady Lungu says as she holds his hand and leads him to their bed.
"I am so angry right now, I wish Princess Rose had not taken our daughter to him."
"I know my lord, but try to be in her place. She knew lord Mike would protect your daughter like his own. If she wanted she would have given her to any other guardians in the human realm but she chose your brother because she wanted your daughter to grow up with her family." Lady Ruby explains.
"I know that Ruby but it does not ease the pain I am feeling in my heart."
"I know but you need to be patient, I know that you will meet your daughter soon. Lord Mike might have brought her up but you are her father, your blood runs through her veins." Lady Ruby says.
"Thank you so much, lady Ruby, I don't know what I would do without you. You make everything easy."
Lady Ruby is about to say something but she is interrupted by a knock on the door. Rachael opens the door and finds one of the guards.
"Good morning my lord, my lady, ladies." He greets.
"Morning Jeffrey, what brings you here this early?" Lord lungu asks.
"The guards on patrol have spotted six dragons heading our way my lord." Lord lungu feels air leave his lungs upon hearing this, he knows without a doubt that King James the dragon king, and his fated mate's brother must have sent the dragon. Maybe he has also found out about Belladonna and wants to take her. Just the thought of that makes his blood boil.
"Alright Jeffery, thank you. Tell the guards not to do anything, just let them in.
"Okay, my lord." As Jeffery leaves lord lungu sits back on the bed wondering what the dragons want.
