In a wide  luxurious palace hall a long red carpet divided it into two. At the center was a stage with 6 thrones. One of the chairs has been decorated with gold and it was the highest in the center.

We walked towards them where the royal family seated. On the left side was Prince Wenox and Princess Quinoa while on the other side were Prince Sycky and Prince Geone.

The king and his wife were sitting in between looking at us.

" Greetings, princess, princes ,the queen and your majesty the king" father greeted them as he kneel putting his right fist in his chest. I did the same and greeted them bowing my head properly.

" Raise, commander. I received your letter about the additional reinforcement for the east wall.Am I right? " the king ordered as he directly spoke about the topic.

" Yes your majesty, the Dracos tribe were getting out of hand. They randomly attack the wall. Making the knights start to fall. "

" The capital can only send 200 battalions as reinforcement.Nobles raise a petition for their sons not to join the knights as they were afraid of losing heir to their family."

" Buy your majesty, it wasn't enough for raiding them all. " The princess complained making me look at her stunned.

" Youngest Princess, it isn't your concern " Prince Wenox stopped her.I can see disappointment in it.

" We really have your sentiment,youngest princess. According to the information the Dracos tribe joined forces in the Hughe Kingdom but we can't deploy our armies at one point. We're surrounded by attackers."

" Why can't we ask for additional battalions to the Kingdom of Reinschadler. The two kingdoms were brothers in a blood compact." Prince Geone suggested.

" We can't ask them for reinforcement since we denied their proposal for Quinoa's marriage. It would be better if we solve it by ourselves. We don't have a face to show them" the king replied.

Princess Quinoa's marriage?

" We can abolish the petition and start to reform the knights training." The princess uttered.

" Noa! Stop meddling on this matter." The king retorted angrily.

" How I can meddle is my future father-in-law's army who needs help" she rebutted in annoyance.

" Quinoa! Calm down.You haven't married with his son yet " Prince Sycky stated but his sly tongue itches my ears.

I glanced at my father,I can say how disappointed he was.

'I take it anymore'

" Are you all cowardly to defend the empire?" I gritted coldly staring at them. My father was pulling the hems of my sleeves for me to calm down.

" How dare you speak like that in front of us!"the king yelled.

" Apologies, your majesty-"

I can't control my anger right now.

" No father, if I need to join you in the battle then I'll be happy to do it. These royals who are sitting comfortably on the throne are useless to the kingdom. What should people think that they weren't prioritized instead they neglected them for mere nobles. "I commented.

" You ! How dare you accuse us!" Prince Sycky unsheathed his sword and attacked me.

" Vincent!" My father exclaims in embarrassment.

I blocked it easily with my sheathed sword. I nonchalantly look at him as I dodged and blocked his attacks.

" Father don't meddle with this. I need to knock some sense with this prince "

" Be careful, son." he sighed

" You royals should be ashamed and can't even control your temper and attack an innocent person. " I commented making them pissed.

" How dare you humiliate us!" Prince Geone started and joined Prince Sycky in attacking me.

The star knight of the west can't even get a proper hit at me but after Prince Geone joined I got hit a few times with his punches and kicks.

' I think I need to get serious '

They attacked the same time and I blocked them and maneuvered to kick Prince Sycky in his neck making him down. Acupuncture point as Prince Geone defense was so good that I need to use mixed martial arts.

I have training with different styles in special forces. I can't be vice captain if I can't defeat bigger and powerful combatants in the field.

"So all this time you're just hiding your abilities " Prince Sycky groaned in pain.

" I didn't hide it,I just have no reason to ply it." I replied as backflip kicked Prince Geone jaw making him back away and fall.

" Enough!Guards arrest him!" The king ordered.

" Your Majesty,are you angry of my defense.You're sons the one who attacked me. We have witnesses here."

I really want to punch his face. My imagination already wandered to fighting them.

I need calm and shouldn't employ provocative words that would allow us to get what we want.

" You're majesty, please allow me to speak with this matter"

They turned their eyes at me.

" You're Vincent my daughter's betrothed ,right?" The king asked.

" You're right,your majesty, I am that person. Related to lack of reinforcement and noble petition. We will accept the 200 battalions and allow me to settle the accounts on nobles,I would personally join the knights. You can decreed an announcement that people who will be enlisted will be rewarded 1million coins as they killed an enemy another 1 million will be given. No one can refuse money. My father and mother will help with the rewards if the palace is short of budget" I stared at him directly explaining my point.

I glanced at the princess who emotionlessly stared at me.

' What's her problem?'

If I used a brutality mindset this problem would end up worse.

" You're really interesting, brother-in-law. Since you are planning to join the knights.I'll accompany you then" Prince Wenox spoke excitedly.

He was known to be a happy go lucky prince. People know how much he was playing as every noble lady he talked to, fell for him easily. He was the only bachelor prince as his other brothers were already married and had children.

Rumors about him being stubborn leads the youngest princess's marriage raised in order to cover his scandalous love life.

' What an asshole prince '

I want to roll my eyes at him. I can sense troubles with him.

" So you'll be joining the knights after the wedding?" Princess Quinoa asked making me nodd.

" You can join the enlistment after a week of your wedding.You can't let my daughter leave her easily like that you should spend some time together."

" Speaking of the wedding, are you ready to marry my youngest daughter? starting today ,I am already welcome to our family" the queen spoke.She's been observing my actions from the time I walked in here. She has brunette hair fixed into a braided bun. She looks like Quinoa's old version yet still beautiful.

Yeah, tomorrow is the wedding.
