Chapter 37

The sunlight filtered through the tinted windows of my lavish yacht, illuminating the remnants of last night's debauchery. I squinted against the harsh light, the thudding in my head almost drowning out the soft lapping of the waves against the hull. The remnants of a hangover wrapped around me like a heavy blanket, each pulse resonating with the party that had spiraled out of control.

I blinked rapidly, desperate to dispel the haze circling my mind. As the events of last night began to surface, a wave of embarrassment washed over me. Partying was a regular occurrence with my friends—Noah, Mia, and Sarah—but it had spiraled into something much different as the hours dragged on. We had started drinking in good spirits, playing games that turned silly and turned rowdy while the sun set, transitioning to a night filled with laughter, dancing, and inevitably, bad decisions.

With a groan, I turned my attention to my phone, hoping to distract myself. As I unceremoniously flopped onto my side, the screen lit up with a series of messages and missed calls. I braced myself, feeling my stomach lurch. The moment I opened the thread with Christian and Haiden, my cheeks flared hot.

"Good morning, beautiful 😏" read Haiden's message, followed by two playful emojis. It made my heart do a little twist, but it was the following messages that made me gasp.

"You know you're getting a punishment for teasing us while we were working last night 😈" came from Christian, infusing a mix of excitement and dread within me.

I scrolled through a barrage of our previous exchanges—my heart raced as I stumbled upon the explicit photos and videos. A wild part of me had taken over last night, sending daring and provocative messages while my boyfriends were stuck in high-stakes meetings that kept them chained to their phones.

"Oh, God…" My voice barely broke through the throbbing in my head. I glanced up to see Noah stifling a laugh, his eyes wide as he caught sight of what I'd sent.

"Hailey, no freaking way!" he shouted, and Mia, who was draped over the sofa, groaned and shielded her eyes.

"Make it stop!" she declared, bursting into laughter. "You're a mess. A glorious, sexy mess!"

"Noah, don't encourage her!" Sarah huffed, shoving him. Despite her teasing, the smile tugging at her lips betrayed her. All three of them seemed equally amazed and supportive.

I brought my hands to my face, attempting to hide the embarrassment that was rushing like fire through my veins. "They're going to kill me… or worse!"

"Get your man's!" Noah cheered, his wild encouragement making my heart flutter with both dread and anticipation. It was true—Christian and Haiden might be equally protective and possessive, but they also loved me fiercely. My wild side definitely attracted them, after all.

I took a deep breath, plunged my fingers into my hair, and another wave of embarrassment rolled through me as the effect of last night settled further into me. "Okay, fine! I'll text them back…" I mumbled, my voice carrying a hint of mischief.

With cautious fingers, I opened the threads to both Christian and Haiden simultaneously. I couldn't help but shoot them a cheeky selfie, a playful pout on my lips and a glint of mischief in my eyes before following it up with a teasing message. "And what punishment might that be, hmm? I might like it... 😉"

For a split second, I felt a thrill course through me—toying with two mafia bosses who were dangerously protective of me. My heart raced. They might be hard-edged and serious most of the time, but I loved the playful side they showed within our relationship, the more wild and romantic adventures we embarked on together.

Seconds felt like hours. I tossed my phone down just as Noah and the others erupted into teasing laughter, no doubt imagining the chaos that would come when the twins received my response.

Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a text notification light up. I grabbed my phone, and by the ecstatic look on Noah's face, I knew I was in for it.

"Be ready for us. We'll be there soon. Dress… to impress. 😉"

The implications hit me like a brick. They weren't joking. The twins enjoyed their 'punishments' just as much as their play. My heart raced at the expectation of what was to come—or what I had just set into motion.

"Guys, I have to get ready!" I declared, jumping up with heat flooding my cheeks.

"Let's go, party girl!" Noah encouraged. "Don't keep your men waiting!"

The laughter and teasing followed me into the small bathroom as I prepared to layer myself in the sexy and confident aura I embodied, a careful contrast to the wild streak hidden beneath. As I splashed water on my face and looked in the mirror, I couldn't help but smile. Regardless of what was to come, I was ready for both the fun and the chaos that would soon unfold with my boys.

After all, life was meant to be lived fully—especially when surrounded by the intoxicating mix of love, adventure, and a few delightful regrets along the way.
