Chapter 62

Haiden's POV

Christian's call to Akira solidified the change within us. We were no longer just brothers scrambling to find a lost loved one. We were mafia bosses, activating our networks, preparing for war. The guilt gnawed at me. Hailey had no idea what we truly were, the darkness that lived inside us. We had tried to shield her from it, to give her a normal life, a life free from the violence and treachery that defined our existence. And now, that very darkness was our only hope of bringing her back.

After Christian finished his call with Akira I called some of my men to gather at our safe house in the woods. "Call some of the men, tell them to gear up, weapons, cars, all the necessities to find Hailey.

The thoughts of what that sick head fuck Leo was doing to her made my head spin. I was on the verge of blacking out again, I cant lose her, not again. My thoughts were interrupted by the door opening, it was Xan.

"I got some information, seems like Leo has been making moves around the docks, some of our men are keeping a close eye on the place but so far there have been no sighs of Hailey" Xan said. I was grateful for an and his team for helping us with the search. If I was being honest I wasn't even sure what i was doing anymore, my chest was hurting and my head was just spinning and it was starting to scare me.

Christian came up next to me and placed his hand on my shoulder giving it a squeeze. "We will find her brother". As soon as I heard that I snapped out of it.
