Hidden feelings

Ava's mouth fell open, struggling to process his words. "What? That can't be true!"

Dylan's expression remained unwavering. "It is true. I saw it with my own eyes. He was never as innocent or timid as he made you believe."

"No." Ava couldn't process his words. "Why would anyone deliberately let themselves be bullied? It doesn't make sense. Ethan was always so timid back then."

Dylan scoffed, "Timid? That's what he wanted you to think. But he is more cunning than you can imagine. He knew exactly what he was doing. And I know for a fact that he has had feelings for you since school."

Ava froze momentarily. "Feelings for me?" she repeated, her voice rising. "That's ridiculous! He is like a brother to me."

"A brother?" Dylan's eyes narrowed, his tone cutting. "He doesn't see you as his sister. He never has. Whether you want to believe it or not, this is the truth."
