Dylan’s teasing

Dylan remained seated, his expression grim and unreadable. He could easily send someone to extract Erica, but that would be a reckless move. The nightclub was Baker territory—deep in their stronghold. If they caught even a whiff of his involvement, they would retaliate with full force.

And right now, Dylan couldn't afford to engage with his arch-rival. Not when he had just secured a major project. Any conflict with the Bakers could jeopardize his company's reputation, leading to the contract being revoked. It was a risk he wasn't willing to take. That was precisely why he had turned to Nicholas for help.

But Nicholas had played his own game, refusing to act immediately.

Dylan exhaled, shaking his head. "Maybe it's her karma," he murmured. Deciding to push the matter aside for now, he reached for his phone and dialed Justin. "The meeting is over. Come here."
