Ava let out a small, conflicted sigh. It wasn't that she didn't trust them—Nicholas and Myra were like second parents to Aliyah—but the idea of being away from her baby, even for a few days, unsettled her.
Dylan squeezed her hands. "I promise, if she needs us, we'll be back in an instant."
Ava looked at him for a long moment, searching his eyes. Finally, she nodded. "…Alright."
Dylan smiled, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "That's my girl."
Ava still felt a pang of hesitation, but as she looked at Dylan—his warm gaze, the unspoken love in his eyes—she realized how much she had missed having time alone with him. Maybe this wasn't such a bad idea after all.
She took a deep breath and smiled. "Okay. Let's do it."
