"So that's why I didn't know what the underworld was like. How about you tell me about this world?" Kaizoku asked after finishing explaining about his original world.
"Well, that's quite suprising, so the Underworld... It's difficult to explain, but it's a terrifying place for humans. Lost souls are trapped here forever, carried away by the Ocean of Death. If any human falls into that sea, they'll be pulled down by the souls within it. Escape is impossible," the guard replied.
After seconds guard continued, "Hmm, John is taking quite long..."
Hearing the guard's words, Kaizoku also wondered why Sylphy was taking so long.
Suddenly, a powerful gust of wind hit the guard, throwing him far away.
Sylphy appeared in front of Kaizoku with worried face. "Hi! Sorry I took so long."
She quickly unlocked the iron bars with the key she had obtained from the previous guard.
"Yeah, yeah, you took forever."
Kaizoku stepped out of the prison cell.
"Why did it take so long? My mouth is dry from telling stories about my world."
"No time! Take my hand, Kai." Sylphy replied with a panicked expression.
Following Sylphy's direction, Kaizoku grabbed her right hand.
"Get ready! VOID WALK!!"
Sylphy used the Void Walk spell, multiplying her speed many times over.
When the guard returned to the prison cell, he found the door open and no one inside. "Damn it!"
He quickly moved to sound the emergency alarm.
The alarm blared throughout the prison. All guards were tasked with finding Sylphy and Kaizoku who had escaped from their cell.
Meanwhile, Sylphy and Kaizoku had successfully escaped the prison and were moving to a safe location.
Sylphy moved incredibly fast - within seconds, they stopped inside a cave near the Ocean of Death, beneath the bridge they had crossed earlier to escape.
Since Kaizoku wasn't used to such extreme speeds, he vomited when they suddenly stopped, weakened by Sylphy's velocity.
After throwing up, Kaizoku collapsed weakly.
"Ugh... Why did you use Void Walk for so long?"
"Because I didn't know the way out, idiot! I had to circle around to find an exit," Sylphy answered with an annoyed face.
"Yeah, yeah... Let me rest for a bit, I'm... I'm dizzy..." Kaizoku said weakly.
"Alright, let's rest for now. I'll keep watch outside - don't go anywhere."
Sylphy walked to the cave entrance, guarding it from the skeleton guards.
"Hey, Sylphy... I'm starting to understand why you're so afraid of this place," said Kaizoku.
Sylphy looked back and replied, "I feel the same... But I think this place isn't as scary as the rumors suggest."
She turned forward again, gazing at the sea filled with floating souls.
Kaizoku chuckled softly. "Heh... This world is more painful than my original world. I guess I regret not being more grateful back then."
"The truth is, changing worlds doesn't necessarily mean things will be better than before. Finding happiness takes time, just like it did for me... Right, Sylphy?"
Sylphy looked at Kaizoku with a small smile. "Huh... I don't know anything about your world, but you seem to be right."
"You were summoned to this world by the gods and goddesses for a reason. We need a strong hero, and becoming strong takes time. It seems our journey will be the time needed to shape you into the hero we desire."
