Chapter 5

The door bell rang and Elena, dropped her lipstick, running to the door, getting to the door she mumbled a shit, realizing she was only on her undies, not a very appropriate way to answer the door to whoever was behind it.

Running back the Stairs, she heard the door bell again, and she yelled, " am coming" . She rushed into her room and fibbled, before getting a t-shirt to wear, which did enough good, running down the stairs again she almost tripped, this night isn't her's.

Getting the door she finds knot, behind it, holding a black dress, which was helping cause she really didn't know what to ware.

" Oh thank God, come in". She said taking the dress from him and walking in while he followed shutting the door behind him.

" Is Ari ready?". Elena asked turning back to him.

" I... I have no idea, she was on her makeup, the last time she glared at me, which was an hour ago, so I guess yeah". He mumbled, placing his hands on his pocket, and letting out a deep breath making Elena giggle.

" What's funny?". Knot asked, his brows into a frown, making Elena unable to stop laughing.

" God, knot get a grip, you shouldn't be bothered by Ari's anger by now, what's the longest she's been mad three hours?, which by the way is a new record, but everytime she's mad, you become restless". Knot eyes softened, he let out a huge breath, His fingers losed his suit knot, and his seat .

" Ari's anger Although part of my restlessness, isn't entirely the reason". He mumbled, while he played with his ring on his pinky finger, a bad habit he had.

" Well what ever the reason is am sure you would get through it, but for now I have to see if I can get through to this dress". Elena place a small tap on his shoulder, before making a run for the stairs.

His phone ding's, on his pocket and he pulls it out from his pocket to read his text, which only made the Green eyes frown.

" Well From the look on your face tell me you've gotten his text". Lorenzo, Hissed throwing his phone a cross the room to his couch, Turing to the most annoying voice he could think of right now, Mason Cade Slade, more like Mason.

" So you're supposed to keep me in check?". Lorenzo cursed out, his both hands on his pocket, one would find that attractive as hell, but only the devil knew, it was his way of not doing something stupid.

" Isn't that what I was born to do, keep you and him in check?". Mason mumbled, falling on the couch.

" This is absolute Madness".

" Says the guy who bought a school, became a high school history teacher for an eighteen year old, and before you ask yes you're being stalked, in his excuse to keep you In check". Lorenzo eyes darkened, he took two step towards Mason, Making Mason get up from the couch, moving back.

" In check, he's the one who needs help, not an excuse to invade my life?". Lorenzo cursed out.

" Easy there tiger, Boss orders not mine, and we won't want to ruine your million dollar suit, would you?". Mason mumbled as an excuse to save his self.

" He isn't my boss, and don't worry I'll just get another one".

" Really?, won't want to be late to miss Ari's party would you?". Mason tried again, and that got Lorenzo to halt.

" How much does he know about her?". Lorenzo asked.

" That I'll tell you if I Make it out of all this alive tonight".

"Don't hold your breath". Lorenzo mumbled, grabbing his suit and walking out while Mason let out a sign, before walking out.

Ari, looked around, her brown eyes searched for two important things, Elena and knot, but instead her dad blocked her view.

" Looking for someone?". He asked taking hold of her wrist.

" Yes Dad". She forced letting him know how much she didn't want to say the word Dad.

" Well you have to stop, I need you to meet someone". She pulls her wrist out of his hold, letting out a curse.

" Am not doing that". She grumbled, ignoring the curious eyes staring at her.

" You are, you ruined the last blinked date, now you need to fix it, and don't cause a scene".

" What if I do?".

" Then you'll be grounded literally". That world sounded simple, but to the Austin's, Being grounded, were like free tickets to Hell, Ari took hold of her lower lip, her eyes wander around for the only person who could drag her out of This but no luck.

" This way Ari". Left with no choice, she took his out stretched arm.

Letting her dad lead the way she finds herself, with an annoying family, they just won't shut up.

" Seems like our parents conversation displeases you". Jace, whispered in her eyes, she turned to the blue eyes and smiled.

" How about we go get some fresh air". She was probably going to regret this later, but for now anything to get out off this torture.

" Sure". Ari mumbled, He took hold off her wrist slipping her through the crowd.

" Ari is going to kill me". Elena pointed out the minute she walked in, her eyes searching for Ari.

" She won't she still needs you". Knot mumbled, letting out a small laugh.

" Where is she?". Elena mumbled, her eyes still wandering around.

" Ele, I'll be back". Knot mumbled getting lost into the crowd before Elena could even understand what was going on.

" Great, just Great". She mumbled taking up a glass of water, this wasn't her first rich scary people party, thanks to Ari, who looked for every reason to make her come with, so some how, this was kind of normal.

But not this, every one here scream wealth and Scary on a whole different level, she could fell stares on her back, the gaze where probably wondering who she was.

" Great Ari". She cursed out, pulling herself into the crowd, in other to lose the gaze on her.

Maybe it was the hills, or the amazing tight gown, or she just didn't see the broad shoulders in front of her, all cause now she had water not just on her already dangerous gown, but also on the suite of the warm amber eyes, staring down at her.

" Am sorry, I wasn't looking, am sorry, I just". Elena fumbled, this definitely wasn't her night, and the suite could literally make her family wealth for ages, literally.

" Hey it's okay". He whispered, pulling out a Handkerchief and handed it to her, she stared at the Hanky and back at his ember eyes before taking it.

" Am so sorry".

" If you apologize again, you might actually have to pay for the damage".

" Am sorry I'll shut up, am sorry I said, sorry, am sorry, I'll shut up". His laugh filled her eyes making her smile from embarrassment, his warm gray eyes fall back on her.

"Well now you owe me, how about I get your name in exchange". He asked his fingers moved to get the strains of her hair out of her face.

" Elena, Elena Vincento". She fumbled and cursed herself in her head, well could you blame her?, a Greek god was standing in front of her.

" Mason Cade Slade, people call me Mr Slade, but Mason is fine". He stared and winked making Elena blink, was he flirting with her?.

" Mason". She tested out and he smiled.

" Well since, I'll have to change this, and I can't knot my bloody neck tie my self, you'll have to come with me". Elena eyes widen her lips Opened to say a word but nothing can out.

" Don't worry I don't bite". He winked before giving her, his outstretched hand, she stared at it, for three seconds and she took it, and now they were both walking out the door, slipping through the crowd.

But this time it was different the crowd seemed to let the though like no one wanted to be on their way.

Let's just hope she doesn't regret this.

Ari took in the deep freash air and smiled, this was more like it.

" Wine for my lady"! Jace joked before handing her a glass of wine, and she smiled before taking a sip.

' I love this garden". Ari said looking around..

" It's so beautiful". She whispered again.

" Thanks". Jace said crossing the distance between them, making Ari stare confused.

" My place". He explained, and Ari eyes widen in surprise.

" Wouldn't have been able to guess that". She joked making them both laugh.

" You know your father wants us to work out right". Jace asked.

" Trust me you're not the first, definitely won't be the last". Ari mumbled making Jace laugh.

" So you leave with just your dad". Aril asked looking at the stars, Jace opened his mouth to answer that when his phone digs, he stared at the phone, and his hands immediately ran over to his suite pulling out a gun and placed on Ari's head.

Ari breath stopped as she felt the cold mental on her head, she turned and stared at the blue eyes that has some how darken.

" I really hoped I could fuck you before I kill you". Ari stared frozen, her eyes blinked wondering if this was really happing, she couldn't do anything or saying anything, no reaction just frozen.

But the sound of the bullet leaving a gun made her eyes shake be and shut in fear, and the glass left to paint the flowers with the wine.
