Chapter 16.5: After the Flame Extinguished

 A day after the incident,a group of Royal Knight from Risidom were sent by Melloyern King to check the situation at the burning town of Oakwood State. Base on the report, all 9 standing town in Oakwood were attacked and Greengard were reported as the most infected town among the nine.

 An investigator stated that the attack were specifically focused on Greengard for unknown reason. The attack on the other town we're just distraction so the town and even magician group couldn't group up to stop the main attack. Other town we're guarded by some member of Denials and Casualties and only receive minor damage.

 Greengard on the other hand were attacked by two Enigmata Class magician, one Master Class assassin(2nd top assassin class) and a group of Skilled Class assassin roughly around 100 or so. Reported by local resident that there are three member of denials were stationed there and most of then heavily injured but already healed right after the attack.

 The town suffers around 76% of destruction and 3,000 deaths where around 30% of them were locals, 50% were tourist and 20% still unidentified.

 The main assailant,Amelia is high rank leader in a group of crystal hunter known as Gin Fang Hunters we killed during the defence of the town by Denials. Other main assailant, Madame and Djelisko(The bard) also dead in the town be the hand of Denials.

 "So, that's how it is?" said Princess Ade as she ask her servant to stop reading the newspaper.

 "Yes, There is a little more detail in here. Would you like me to read it for you?"

 She shake her head and dismissed the servant from her room. She stretch a bit before stand from her mirror table and step to the castle's balcony to see the town and taking fresh breath. The wind was good but also cold.

 "Denial. I wish we had the chance to meet again." She whisper to herself while looking at the sky with a solemn smile.

 Meanwhile, in Greengard. Ekiu and some of his friend were helping others rebuilding the town a bit by bit. They dismantling the heavily damaged building and rebuilt a new one while repair some repairable buiding.

 Ekiu were lifting a wooden planks with some of his friend when Black Blade and Emerald approach them.

 "Good afternoon!" Emerald said as Ekiu placed the plank down on the place it should be.

 "Oh... It's you. You seems more better now." He turn his gaze to Black Blade. "and you... glad you actually still alive."

 "Yes. Thanks to that Acolyte. To be honest, I already dead but I feel that my soul being called and here I am. Still alive. By the way, My name is Black Blade Master. Call me Black Blade"

 They shake their hands and start talking about what happened before and their next plan and destination.

 At the inn, Codex were laying and resting since she uses the most energy and even just resurrected from death. The book were capable to bring it's owner to death but the trade is she losing the emotional supression she make in the book.

 She can supressed many things like memory, feelings, and even her power. She just need to write all of the thing she wanted to supress and it will gone into the book and will never shown outside. But since she tore the book to resurrect and unleash her power... her past memory and the feeling she towards Black Blade all return to her.

 She's currently facing heavy mental damage but she could cope with it. She only need time to stable her feelings and resupress the bad memory and feeling. so, currently she is very emotional and very unlike her since she usually emotionless and stern.

 "So? She manage to draw out all the Denials lesser member's trump card? So, The story about they we're strong are just a bluff?" A man smirk as he hear the reports regarding the attack at Greengard.

 "That's true. Two of the famous Denials lesser member draw out their trump card in the fight with Bard and Amelia." One of the assassin said as he kneeling down in front of the man on the throne.

 The man laugh while smacking the armrest of the throne and then his facial expression suddenly turn grim.

 "How about the other one? I heard there are three of them in the town."

 "The other one seems to be a new member and utterly very weak and only capable on using wind based magic."

 "How come the denials recruiting weak newbies? They running out of hands since we manage to take down two of their members?" The man laugh as he look at a statue.

 The statue has a earing and a torned glove. Those were the throphy they take from fallen Denials member that they took down some times ago. The man walk up to the statue as he mesmerizing the beauty of the statue that he always wanted to decorate with dead Denials belongings.

 This man burning with hatred to Denials that he swore he would kill every single one of them.

... in conclusion, The town were recuperating from the disaster that hits them. The fact that Gin Fang didn't manage to draw the crystal out meaning of the Denials victoriuos in defending the town and the crystal as well. But little they know, this attack also have other reason then just drawing the crystal. It's also Gin Fang's plan to getting information regarding Denials as they really wanna crush the organisation so bad.

 ...To be concluded
