Chapter 20: Dark past of Nakajima

 "Nakajima? Nakajima~" Nakajima(Black Blade) open his eyes and a gleeful face of a girl greets his eyes.

 "Eiria?... What is... EIRIA!? How come are you here?!"He quickly gets up as Eiria lean back to give him the space to get up.

 She giggles gleefully looking at Nakajima's shocked expression as she shake her head.

 "I don't know. but you've been sleeping at the bay for long. I can't help but feel worried." She said as she stands up and pats away the sand that stuck at her knee long skirt.

 He look at her as he feels something was wrong but he couldn't remember a thing. He just brush the weird feeling away and smile at her. They could see the waves hitting the shore as the evening wind blew. Eiria was looking towards the horizon as the wind blew her hair giving the beautiful effect on her. Nakajima were stunned to the sight before she turn her gaze to him.

 "What are you looking at?" She smiled as a slight blush appeared on her cheek while she was removing the hair that blown her hair covering her face.

 "N-no. It's nothing." He looks away.

 "Well, we should get going before the beast starts roaming." She offer a hand to him so he take it and the two start walking into the village not far from the shore while holding hands.

 The two walk back to the village but before they arrived, rain pour down heavily forcing the two to take shelter there. The found a wooden cabin and rest at the front of it. They both already soak wet due to the rain

 "I've never thought it would be raining..."She sigh and look at him.

 "yeah... we should return earlier."

 "But to my luck. I have you by my side." She smile heartily and lean on his shoulder.

 "Well... I think so." He said and let her be.

 The whole scene stop even everydrop of the rain stop. It's like the time was stopped and there is Black Blade standing in the stopped rain looking at him in the past and Eiria getting close to each other.

 "There it is. The time where trust sewn in our meeting." Eiria speak as she also stand by Black Blade looking at the two past time.

 "I have the same hunch."

 "But not long after... You just destroy it all." She said and walk up to the two kids and sit by their side.

 Black Blade look at her as the guilt really cuts in his heart.

 "Eiria... we should not do this. I know you hate me for that but... Maybe we can fix it?"

 "Fix? After all of the things that happened? You murdered me."

 She said as the scene turn. It take time of two years after that rainy day. Nakajima was standing there holding a knife stained with blood. Eiria's dead body lying on the floor. There are still tears at her cheek mix with blood that splattered to her cheek.

 Black Blade stand there, looking at his younger self running out of the wooden house with his hand stained with red liquid. His eyes narrows as the truth that it's all in the past is just hurt him so much.

 "So, you know what? Since you've killed me. Tell me, why? What's wrong with me?" Eiria ask as the time stop and her current self appear and sits by her past dead body and gently caress her cheek.

 "It was an accident."

 "Hmm? I didn't hear you~" She raised her eyebrow with anger in her eyes.

 "I don't know why."

 She giggles and stand up. Closing the proximity between them.

 "You don't know or... you just scared to admit? You're the worst." She smile mischievously and put her hand to his cheek.

 "I don't know... I can't remember why..." He start to tremble.

 "You must know why Nakajima. What's wrong with me? Huh? What makes me a subject of your killing spree?" She caress his cheek and put her thumb to his lips and pull it a bit.

 "Eiria... I swear I don't know what happened... Please. You must trust me!" He starts to sweats a lot.

 Eiria push him with a spell as he flying across the cabin and slammed to the wall. Eiria walks up to him and pick him up effortlessly and smack him to the wall again. Tear starts to roll down her cheek.

 "I was 14 years old that time. I... I..." She stopped and again smack him hard to the wall.

 "Eiria... I..."

 "Put your forked tongue behind your teeth! I even give you my purity. I believe in you!" Again she smack his back to the wall and blood spitted out of his mouth.

 She throw him to the floor and he stop rolling beside the past Eiria's dead body. His face turned to the dead Eiria's face.

 "Eiria... I swear it wasn't me who killed you."

 "Then who?!" She pick him up again and smack him to a wooden rack and then the wall again.

 "I... wish I know..."

 "You... BAst..." She stopped as she heard the footstep coming closer to the cabin.

 Eiria eyes widen as she see Nakajima return to the cabin, trying to cover the wound and even bring along a healing potions but he was late and Eiria cannot be saved. She saw him crying hardly by the body. He holds to the neck of the clothes she wear and crying at it.

 "WHY! What happened to you! No Eiria NO! I... I..." Nakajima said and keep crying on Eiria's cold dead chest.

 "What... you return here after my death? I thought you leaved me to be found." She dropped Black Blade to the floor in realisation.

 Black Blade look at his past self crying and say along with his past. The same word and agony that living with him even today.

 "I... were cursed. Possessed... It wasn't me who kill you...I'm sorry I couldn't save you..." He said together. Their tone was sad and remorseful.

 Eiria look at Black Blade and finally learn the truth.

 "That's why I can't remember why I kill you... Eiria... It wasn't me. I'm sorry..."

 "You... I... So, it just my misunderstanding?" She said and get closer to Black Blade who was sitting by the wall.

 "Yes... Perhaps that's the thing. You know Eiria... I love you till today. but to see you again... just ignite my remorse even more. I can't move on..."

 "I'm sorry... I thought... you were scared... Before my last breath when you run out from the cabin. I thought you scared to the fact that... I'm already have your child."

 Black Blade eyes widen. He look at Eiria in shock since he never know about that at all.

 "You... have my child.. What are you talking about? I don't even know it... you never told me?"

 "I don't tell you... Yes... I thought that the fact you kill me because you know about it."

 "Then, you get me wrong... I don't know a thing. If I know... I will be very happy. To know that." He smiled but there is still remorse is his tone and smile.

 Eiria broke into tears as she hear the words from him as she pull him into a tight hug. She cries very hard at his shoulder. He softly pats her back.

 "I should have known!" She keep crying and holding on him tightly.

 "I am sorry... I couldn't help you... I'm weak... very weak as a magician..."

 He also keep hugging Eiria's petite frame and realised that she's getting a bit transparent. Her whole being is transparent slowly.

 "Eiria... what happened."

 "I'm here... as a vengeful spirit... but after learning the truth... I have no more revenge to be solved. I'm a clean soul now." She pull back the hug as a smile starts to appear.

 "No... Eiria no... Don't leave me... please..."

 "I'm sorry if this open the wound in your heart even further but... I'm happy to know... you actually accepting that child and not hating it. I'm..."

 "Eiria please!"

 "...Very... Happy!" She disappeared completely after that.

 Black Blade starts to falls into tears... He realised that the wooden cabin slowly turning into reality and he was lying on the snow the he was removing earlier this morning.

 "Goodbye... Ei..." he couldn't finish the word as he burst into cries.

 Madam silence and Codex who heard the cry immediately goes to him and then they bring his inside.
