A Decision She Made

In the end Odelia decided to take care of the baby herself, she would find a job to pay for the baby's clothes and birthing expenses. Although Rihanna had said that she would help pay for these costs, Odelia refused.

"It's acceptable to live here and even have daily meals for free, it's very big for me. But I can't trouble you too much with you having to pay for my birth," Odelia said.

She did still have some savings that she had been saving. But she would still need a job because that money would run out later.

"So you're not going to tell the father about the baby?"

Odelia shook her head. "No, I'm not going to tell him about this. I'm just worried if he rejects the baby. I've already told him that I'm fertility, but all of a sudden I'm telling him that I'm carrying his child. What if he has a partner?"

Rihanna understood that, she knew Odelia was worried that Sean would think she was just trying to trick him for money. Coming to take responsibility for what happened a month ago.

Because of that she supported Odelia's decision, and agreed to help her find a job that she could do while she was pregnant.

"Alright, I'll help you find a job but don't force yourself to do it under these circumstances, do you understand?"

"I totally understand!"

Three months passed, and Vincent sat at his desk in his office with an uneasy feeling. He missed Odelia so much that his picture with her was still displayed on his desk.

"Odelia, my love... Where are you right now? I miss you so much. The bed is so cold and lonely without you. My morning feels so empty without seeing your smile to greet my day," he said as he rubbed the picture frame.

His feelings were so hurt because he didn't know where Odelia had gone. Even her old number couldn't be reached, considering Odelia had changed her number so Vincent couldn't contact her anymore.

He kept being forced to marry Monica, but he kept refusing and saying that he was busy with work at the company.

"How can I marry another woman when I still love you so much?"

In the midst of feeling devastated, the door to his room suddenly opened and a woman dressed in luxurious and sexy clothes entered the room. He raised his head and put the picture frame closed.

"What are you doing here? If you're coming in you should knock first," Vincent said with a stern look at the woman who lived with him and his mother and sister.

"Why would I knock when I'm entering my future husband's room? I'm here to visit you, honey," replied the woman who was none other than Monica.

"Don't say things like that here, my status is still with Odelia."

But Monica didn't take it so lightly and went straight to Vincent and touching his shoulder.

"Have you forgotten that she signed the divorce papers? That means she's no longer your wife but your ex-wife. And I will be your wife in the future," she said, rubbing his shoulder.

Still, for Vincent the signature was not valid at all. He was sure that everything happened because of the pressure Odelia was under, so he didn't take the signature seriously.

"Come on Vin, what do you see in her? She's just an ordinary woman who even I'm much prettier than."

He turned to look at her. "You're wrong, she's much prettier than you and so is her heart. It's not like you are bad even to your heart. You think I will forgive you easily after what you did a few years ago? Not at all."

Monica frowned and looked annoyed at him

"Why are you still remembering something that happened so long ago? The child doesn't exist anyway. So that means I don't have any responsibility, and I didn't even force you to accept a baby that wasn't yours!"

Vincent laughed when he heard it, he even doubted if the child Monica had been carrying was really a miscarriage. He was convinced that she had deliberately aborted the baby just to get back with him.

"I don't care what you have to say, now leave my office because I'm very busy," he said.

"You can't kick me out like that!" She then saw a closed picture frame on Vincent's desk.

Picking up the frame, she saw a picture of Vincent with Odelia. This upset her and she slammed the photo on the floor.

CRASH!

"What are you doing?!" snapped Vincent as he saw the frame shatter on the floor.

"You shouldn't remember that woman anymore because I'll be your wife after that!"

The woman kept demanding that Vincent forget all about Odelia. This made her furious and she immediately grabbed the woman's wrist which made her whimper in pain.

"Akkh! Vin, this hurts!

"Listen to me carefully, even if the world turns upside down I won't marry a woman like you! So you better leave my office or I'll have security drag you out so you can be a spectacle to all the employees here," Vincent threatened and pushed his ex lover away.

"You'll see! I'll report this to Aunt Samantha!" she said, pointing at the man and walking away from his office.

He sighed heavily and knelt down to pick up the picture frame on the floor. With a gaze full of sadness he stared at the photo and wished for Odelia to return soon.

"If I hadn't left you with them, you would still be with me today."

The door to the house opened and Odelia entered her friend's house in a very exhausted state. She was now in her thirteenth week of pregnancy, and although she hadn't grown any bigger, she still felt a little weak at work.

But she had to keep her spirits up because it was all for the sake of her future child. And Odelia convinced herself that she could do it.

"My head hurts a lot. But what can I do, maybe I haven't worked outside for so long that my stamina has decreased," she complained while leaning back on the sofa.

Rihanna, who witnessed this, felt sorry for her friend. She had advised Odelia not to work and let her help with the cost of giving birth later.

However, she refused because the cost of giving birth is very high not to mention the costs afterwards, such as clothes and other baby equipment.

"Then go take a shower and rest. I'll just order some food. So you don't have to make dinner. You want your favorite potato salad, right?"

The ginger-haired woman nodded her head then went to the bathroom to clean up before finally resting on the bed.

Seeing her friend's situation like that, Rihanna immediately opened a website containing Sean Osbert's work profile. She thought about telling the man about Odelia, but she still felt hesitant.

"Should I just say it? I know I'm interfering in her life, it's just... All for your own good, Odelia."
