Not A Big Trouble, It Just...

Sean rushed to the mall where his sister and his wife were. He stepped on the gas of his car, no matter how fast the car was going, he had to get there quickly.

When he arrived, he saw Megan sitting with Odelia. Odelia looked so weak and wiped her mouth and rubs her stomach.

"I'm sorry, hiks..." she said while holding Odelia's hand.

"What happened?! I told you not to do anything weird to her. Odelia is pregnant, what if something happens to the baby?" asked Sean as he scolded Megan.

The woman bowed her head in guilt. Odelia immediately caught Sean's arm and said that it wasn't anything serious.

"I just can't eat too much. But seeing Megan eating so many little cakes, I unconsciously ate so much that I ended up throwing up. It's not entirely Megan's fault, it's mine too," she tried to explain her situation to her husband.

"I didn't know she would get like that, I also added more cakes to her plate so she could try all the cookies. I'm sorry, sister-in-law..." Megan said with a pleading face.

Odelia hugged Megan, saying she didn't blame her for this. "It's okay, it's not your fault. Don't cry."

Sean, who witnessed this, was silent because he didn't know what to say. Why would Odelia be so nice, when they had only met two days ago. Why did a woman as good as her have to have a life of suffering with the pressure of her former mother-in-law and sister-in-law?

She turned to Sean, looking at him gently. "Calm down, I'm fine and our baby is fine. You don't have to worry, okay?"

A relieved smile on his face, he nodded and apologized to Megan for scolding him without hearing her story first.

She nodded her head and Sean hugged his little sister. "You're just like a child, you should be ashamed of Odelia. You're older than her," Sean teased, rubbing Megan's head.

"Shut up, Odelia has no problem with that!"

The ginger-haired woman chuckled at that. Since Sean had already arrived, Odelia went home with him as Megan wanted her sister-in-law to rest.

"And what about you?" asked Odelia.

"I still want to eat more cake, bye!" she replied and then walked back to the cake shop.

"Hey, don't get a stomachache!" he warned but his sister had already left.

Sean then led his wife away to his car in the car park. He asked Odelia to wait near the exit of the parking lot while he went to get his car.

"I won't be long, you just wait here," he said then picked up Odelia's shopping bag and took it with him.

She stood up and checked her cell phone, seeing an incoming message from her mother.

[MOMMY]

How was your day, dear? Today my noodle shop was very busy. There are so many people buying them.

[ODELIA]

Really? That's great! I'm so happy, how is Sam? Is he okay?

[ODELIA]

He hasn't been replying to my messages lately

[MOMMY]

Sam is fine, he's busy with his new job, that's why he hasn't been replying to your messages.

"Sam has a new job? That means mom is working alone at the noodle shop? It must be very tiring..." she said feeling sorry for her mom.

While waiting for Sean's car to arrive, Odelia noticed a white car passing her. A car that was familiar to her because she felt she knew the car.

"There are many cars of the same type, but for some reason... I feel like I recognize that one..." She slowly walked towards a white car that was parked not far from her.

While hiding near another car, she peeked and looked at the license plate of the white car.

Sure enough, she recognized the car very well which turned out to be Vincent's license plate. She knew it well because her ex-husband had bought the car two years ago and Odelia had memorized the license plate in case something happened to her ex-husband.

"That's... Vincent's car? That means he..."

After the car engine was finally turned off, Vincent got out of the car while straightening his dark green blazer. The favorite color of her ex-husband that Odelia could clearly remember.

"Vin... You look fine after almost half a year of not seeing each other..." she murmured as she watched him act like nothing had happened.

Shortly after, from the beside driver's seat, a woman got out of the car and walked towards Vincent. The smile on Odelia's face instantly faded, seeing Monica who hugged her ex-husband's arm and walked together into the mall.

She turned around, leaning against the pole wall in the parking lot. Seeing how her ex-husband had forgotten her and was now living happily together with Monica.

Her eyes dropped, she realized that she shouldn't have tried to find out about it. She should have stayed at the exit of the parking lot.

In the midst of her resignation, a pair of feet were seen standing near hers. She looked up and saw Sean staring at her.

"Didn't I tell you to wait near the exit?" he asked.

"I'm sorry... I just..." She turned her head in the direction Vincent and Monica had gone, but Sean immediately pulled gently on Odelia's chin not to look at them.

"No, we'd better get home," he said embracing his wife to get into the car and leave the mall.

Vincent's presence in the mall made Odelia's heart waver again. However, when she saw how Monica tightly hugged the man's arm, she felt that she had indeed been replaced by Monica.

Sean, who was driving, realized that Odelia felt so sad after seeing her ex-husband again. He had tried to do everything he could to make her forget her ex-husband, but it was not as easy as he thought.

He pulled Odelia's hand and clasped it. She turned her head to look at Sean, looking at him in surprise that one hand was clasping hers.

"You don't have to think about it anymore, if he has found someone, then you should and can too. You're even better than him, Odelia. If he really loves you, how can he replace your existence so easily?"

"I... I don't know... Maybe it's all because Monica is his ex-girlfriend... So she..."

"So he accepted it so easily? Doesn't that mean he still has feelings for her?"

Hearing Sean's question made Odelia wonder, could that be the case?

Could it be that all this time Vincent actually still loved Monica so when he left, Monica easily accepted it?

"Odelia... Getting over someone is difficult, but going back to the past is not the answer. You have to look forward and see what you're dealing with right now. You are now pregnant with my child and I am ready to be your husband..."

Odelia felt confused when Sean said that. Marrying the biological father of the child in her womb, wouldn't that be good? Moreover, Sean was a good man, responsible and could provide for their child's future.

However, there was one thing that made Sean hesitate at the moment.

"If we really get married... Will you continue to remember Vincent?"
