January 20th,
Diary, something and unbelievable happened today and I'm still shocked.
Tony, Lissa and I were watching a christian action movie ( Tony's choice) and right where the tension was building and we were at the edge of our seats, there was a knock on the door. A frantic one at that.
"Who's there I asked, not taking my eyes off the t.v screen."
"I-it's Danielle." The popcorn fell from my mouth, Tony's eyes grew wide with surprise and Lissa picked up the remote and paused the movie.
"Hey! What gives?" Tony asked.
"Shh. Someone's at the door." Lissa replied.
"Danielle?"Lissa asked as she checked the peephole to see if it was truly her or if someone followed her.
"It's me." Came a faint reply from outside the door. Tony and I exchanged confused looks Lissa opened the door and she walked in slowly, with her head hung low.
"Have a seat." I said.
"Sandy, I'm sor-" she started.
"Sit." I said, not looking at her as Lissa gave my hand a squeeze and whispered to me,
"It's okay. She came for a reason, just it easy with her and don't let your emotions get the best of you. I'll pray for you, okay?" She asked as I nodded and left, with Tony behind her.
I loved my friends for that. They always knew when to give me space.
"I'm sorry-"
"Why'd you come?" I asked. "Go straight to the point." I said coldly.
Holy Spirit, i hand my feelings over to You. Please don't let them get the best of me. Please help her speak. She obviously came for a reason.
"I-I need y-your help, please. Sandy, I'm in serious trouble a-and I think I'm gonna die..." she whispered the last part of her sentence and looked up with a tear stained face.
Had she been crying?
I looked at her, silently for a while as she kept on crying.
"What happened? Why are you crying?" I asked.
"T-they they're after my life-"
"Who?" Was she gonna talk or what?
"I'm not supposed to tell anyone-"
"So why are you here? "
Be patient...
"Please Sandra, I need your help. Please help me. If you don't I will die..." She begged.
"Look Danielle, if you can't tell me anything I can't help you. Are you ready to talk? "I asked
No response.
"Would you talk now?" I asked again but she didn't reply. Instead, she just kept on sniffing.
"Then I'm sorry, I can't help you. Use the door." I said, standing up from where I sat.
