Chapter 13 : My Way Or No Way

*Lena*

After my disastrous meeting with Eason, I couldn’t bear the thought of returning to the office. I cursed, burning with rage, as I made my way to my car, asking myself how I’d ever managed to fall in love with such a pompous, self-absorbed jerk. I stomped the soles of my shoes angrily against the pavement as I walked to the parking lot and drove home.

Once I entered my house, I slammed the door behind me, not caring if the neighbors heard. I kicked off my shoes, leaving them haphazardly in the entryway, and stomped to my room. Stupid, stupid Eason and his stupid handsome face.

I threw myself onto my bed, not caring that my shirt was getting wrinkled. My long brown hair, which I’d so carefully styled that morning, now fell in messy waves around my face. I could feel my mascara starting to smudge as angry tears pricked at the corners of my eyes.
