Chapter 36: An Ultimatum

Sharon’s POV

Tina stalked off to her bed, her shoulders relaxed, eyes heavy with a strange mix of defiance and detachment. She didn’t even look at me as I stood there, as if my world hadn’t just shattered because of her betrayal. My heart ached, tightening with each passing second as I struggled to reconcile the Tina I had known with the one who had just confessed to ruining my life. How could she still be so calm? How could she sit there like nothing had happened?

The room felt smaller, and stifling, the air thick with the unspoken tension between us. I swallowed the lump in my throat, feeling a surge of emotions—grief, anger, and confusion. I missed her. I missed the version of Tina I had trusted, the girl who had been my friend for two years. But as I looked at her now, I knew I could never forgive her for what she had done. The memories of the late-night talks, the laughter, the support—all of it was tainted now, twisted into something ugly and unrecognizable.
