In the world of One Piece, the seas are vast, often feeling endless, especially without proper navigation. For the Hell's Prince Pirates, this reality was setting in hard. They had been sailing aimlessly for over two days, surrounded by nothing but the unbroken expanse of blue.
"Man, are we seriously just running in circles?" Dave asked, looking around in frustration. Everywhere he looked, it was the same—just endless water.
Trish, equally irritated, crossed her arms and muttered, "This is so annoying. First, we were stuck on that island, eating nothing but wild boars, and now we're eating nothing but fish. Dave, what kind of adventure is this supposed to be?"
Dave, inwardly feeling her frustration but not daring to voice his own, sighed. 'I wish I knew how to get us out of this,' he thought, glancing helplessly at the horizon.
After setting sail, the group quickly realized that none of them actually knew how to navigate the seas. Their solution? Tony decided to use his technical genius to send a satellite up into space, hoping it would help guide them.
Plop!
Dave turned his gaze towards Tony, who surfaced from the water, still in his Scuba Turbo Mode suit. "Did you find anything useful down there?" Dave asked as Tony climbed aboard, dragging a large bag behind him.
"Yeah," Tony said, pulling out a few pieces of metal and strange objects. "This sea is like an untapped treasure chest. I found a lot of useful parts. I think I can salvage some of this stuff and put together something like a satellite. That way, we won't keep getting lost."
Dave nodded, appreciating the ingenuity. "Good. Anything to stop us from drifting aimlessly like this."
Despite Tony's optimism, Dave couldn't shake the feeling that they weren't in the Grand Line. Everything felt off—the seas were eerily calm, without the unpredictable weather patterns and random storms characteristic of the Grand Line. The environment felt constant, almost unnaturally so.
'If the weather's this stable, then we're either in one of the four seas or... the New World,' Dave thought, narrowing his eyes as the realization hit him. 'But which one?'
'Well, it's better this way,' Dave thought, reflecting on the current situation. 'Everyone is still getting used to their powers, and despite having the Dante template, I'm not sure I could handle the powerful pirates here just yet.' In the One Piece world, individuals who trained enough could destroy mountains with a single punch. Even with his Dante template, Dave couldn't do that unless he was in his Devil form or Sin Devil form—both of which consumed an enormous amount of energy. He couldn't maintain those transformations for long, especially the Sin Devil form, which drained all his demon energy in just five minutes. Without that energy, he would be left with only his base abilities, making him no stronger than Garp or Roger level—just a superhuman.
And it's not enough to help everyone while fighting an equally strong opponents.
Not only that, he couldn't even wield his Devil Arms at full power in this state.
'Sei, have our bodies synced with this world's power level yet?' Dave asked his system. Sei had previously informed him that in any world they entered, his body would adapt to the world's rules and limits. This meant his physical abilities and those of his companions would be enhanced to match the standards of the One Piece world.
[Yes, host. Both you and anyone who came with you have had their physical limits expanded to align with this world.]
Hearing this, Dave nodded, reassured. He removed his shirt, looking out at the sea. "Well, let's salvage some stuff too," he thought, and without hesitation, he dived into the water, ready to gather materials alongside Tony.
With their enhanced abilities, this task would be much easier—and they'd need all the resources they could find to face what was ahead.
"I will help" Rhodes said as he dived in too.
'Speaking of it, Don't I have three or two Template Draws too right?' Dave asked as he moved underwater.
[ host has, one A grade template draw , it was reward of getting rid of Obadiah threat and the a S grade for getting rid of Kingpin ] Sei informed as Dave nodded.
'I want to use them,' Dave thought, reflecting on his abilities, 'but there's always the chance of summoning people, though it's very low. And to be honest, in the worlds I've unlocked—the DMC verse and now the One Piece verse—there isn't much I'd want to summon. Well, maybe if I wasn't in the One Piece world…' Dave mused as he continued swimming through the depths of the ocean, soon discovering something significant: a shipwreck.
'Well, considering how deep this is, it makes sense that no normal human would be able to hold their breath long enough to explore it,' Dave thought. Even now, he was using his demonic energy to supplement his body's oxygen needs.
'Let's see if I can find anything valuable here,' Dave considered as he moved toward the wreckage. The entire site was covered in debris and seaweed, making it difficult to inspect. But with his newly enhanced powers, especially his psychokinesis, it wasn't going to be a problem. With his 100% fusion with the Dante template, his psychokinesis had greatly increased in strength, allowing him to lift over 1,000 tons with ease.
He began to move the wreckage, but it was harder than he expected due to the immense pressure of the water above. Shifting a sunken shipwreck while submerged in the deep ocean took a considerable amount of effort, even for him. It consumed time as he struggled against both the wreckage itself and the water pressing down from above.
"Huh?" Dave's attention was drawn to something unusual—a clear, glowing object hidden among the debris. "Could this be a treasure chest?" he wondered. Intrigued, Dave moved toward it, using his psychokinesis to lift the chest and start ascending to the surface, eager to discover what treasures it might hold.
