Latina was one of the nine direct children of Shizo Beriache. She held a lowly title only because she had avoided the burdensome responsibilities that came with her lineage. Yet, her power was absolute.
In particular, she was the only one among her siblings who could command the dead, a power reminiscent of the first great demon, Baal. Because of this, she took great pride in herself.
Until Marie Rose appeared, Latina had believed she was destined to reign over all vampires.
Yet now, the great Latina had been killed by humans—mere humans, a species meant to be nothing more than prey to vampires.
"Originally, he should have collapsed at the mere sight of me..."
With that final thought, she perished.

Direct vampires will be interested in you. The chances of meeting a direct descendant will increase. Gaining favorability with direct descendants will be relatively easy.]

"Congratulations," Dave said to Diana, who was still holding the Rune in her hand.
"It didn't increase my attack power," she muttered, reading its description.
"But it allows you to have offensive magic now," Dave pointed out.
Diana sighed. "I guess you're right," she admitted as she nodded.
"Given the rate we're going, I guess I can find one too," Boa said, hopeful.
Dave nodded. They had raided two Direct Descendants and acquired two Runes. The first one also gave them a growth-type sword that Dave had yet to use, meaning each Direct Descendant might provide a unique reward.
"Let's see what power you got," Diana said as Dave nodded.

"What a weird name," Boa commented, while Dave checked the skill description.

You can summon two Growth-type Skeletons that will gain five stat points every time they level up.
The skeletons will start at level 1.
Basic stats: 3 Strength, 3 Stamina, 3 Agility, 1 Intelligence.
Mana Cost: 3,000
Duration: Until dismissed or destroyed.
Cooldown: None.
"Weak * 3," they all said after seeing the description.
[It's not actually weak.] Suddenly, Mumud spoke.
"How?" Dave asked, curious.
[They're like newborn children with nothing in them, meaning you can mold them as much as you want. Since they're undead, they are immortal as long as you live. And since you are immortal too, that means they are basically immortal.]
[So, they are true evolving undead,] Mumud explained.
[Besides, I think we can teach them our abilities,] Mumud added, and Madra spoke up.
@: Don't drag me into this.
[But don't you want to see the power of these new children after they grow up using your techniques?] Mumud asked, and Madra snorted.
@: They are too weak to even withstand 1% of my teachings.
[...You're right.]
[Dave, train them until they are ready to accept our teachings,] Mumud declared, and a new quest was generated.

Mumud and Madra want to teach the two new undead, but they are too weak to learn anything right now. Train the skeletons until they reach level 300+.
Reward: Both skeletons will inherit Madra's and Mumud's Disciple Classes. ]
"That is good now," Diana said, and Dave nodded.
"Well, I guess I'll have to lead them to level up," he said, and the others nodded.
[I suggest allowing them to fight on their own. That way, their growth will be maximized,] Mumud added, pouring cold water on Dave's plan of binding some enemies and letting the skeletons repeatedly pummel them to death.
"Okay," Dave agreed. Then he said, "I think we've had enough of raiding vampire cities." The group nodded in agreement.
"Let's go back to Territory. We've spent over a month here now," he added, stretching.
"Great, I would like to do other quests," Boa said as Diana nodded.
"I want an offensive skill for now, though," Diana said.
Dave smirked. "Just find a great demon, and then we can kill it and acquire its power."
"Okay, then we'll try to find a great demon on the continent and claim its power," Diana agreed.
With that, they completed the dungeon.
"Oh, I almost forgot this," Dave said, taking Latina's necklace and inspecting its description.
