Sticks , is an Sage of Wisdom who resides in Behen Archipelago.
"T-The second island... in just 10 seconds?!"
His voice trembled as he stared at the magic projections displaying Dave's progress.
It was an unprecedented record.
This was the moment when Sticks, a sage known for his unparalleled wisdom, felt like a fool for the first time in his life.
By the time Dave reached the ninth island, Sticks had already been shocked nine times.
"This… this shouldn't be possible!"
Sticks had dedicated his life to purging the Behen Archipelago of its corruption and chaos. He made sure to monitor every participant closely, evaluating their skills and potential.
Yet, when he saw Dave's magic, he mistakenly assumed that Dave was Braham's Descendant, a legendary magician feared throughout history.

[You have cleared the ninth island.]
[You have acquired 24 Challenger Points for the mission success.]
"I have a total of 102 points."
Dave checked his status with a satisfied smile.
The endless monsters on the first island, the hidden keys on the second island, capturing the escaped fox mice on the third island, swallowing the raging fire on the fourth island, surviving the blizzard on the fifth island, enduring the poisonous mist on the sixth island, and the strong boss monsters on the seventh and eighth islands…
And now, the ninth island that he had just cleared.
For any ordinary player, these islands were considered nightmarishly difficult. Even Kraugel, the so-called Sky King, had struggled with just the first and second islands.
But for Dave?
They felt like mere tutorials.
[Do you want to enter the 10th island?]
"Yes."
The moment he responded, his body was sucked into the gate.
[You have entered the tenth island.]
Unlike the previous islands, this one felt more like a room than an actual island. The walls, floor, and ceiling were all painted a stark white, making it difficult to judge depth and distance.
Dave calmly scanned his surroundings.
"What's this?"
Rising from the ground were white pointed pillars, thin metal poles measuring around 5cm wide and 2m long.
"There are hundreds... No, thousands?"
Before he could analyze them further, a notification window appeared.
[A mission will be created.]
[Tenth Island]
Avoid the lightning that will pour down like rain!
The lightning cannot be defended against by any means. You can only evade.
Mission Success Conditions: Reach the gate to the eleventh island.
First Clear Reward: 30 Challenger Points.
⚠ Warning: You will instantly die if struck by lightning.
[The mission will start 30 minutes from now.]
At that moment, the ceiling opened.
Kurururung!
A deafening roar of thunder echoed above. Dave looked up, his sharp eyes observing the sky that was now revealed. Dark clouds churned ominously, crackling with impending lightning storms.
"A lightning storm that can't be defended against..."
The sheer speed of lightning made this mission seem impossible. Only those with top-tier control abilities—players like Kraugel, Regas, and Faker—had a chance at success.
"The difficulty is growing."
But Dave wasn't discouraged. Instead, he focused on what stood out—the white pillars.
"They wouldn't be here for no reason."
Understanding their purpose was the key to survival.
Without hesitation, Dave approached the nearest pillar and activated a skill.
"King's Insight"
Ttiring~
[Lightning Rod]
Durability: 1/20
A metal rod with a pointed end that attracts and absorbs lightning.
The durability is weak because it is severely damaged. It will immediately turn to ashes from one lightning strike.
Weight: 3 ]
Dave analyzed the Lightning Rod's description.
"So these are lightning rods..."
The realization dawned on him—this island was a test of agility and movement skills. He had to evade the lightning while using the rods to redirect strikes away from himself.
"If one lightning strike destroys a rod, that means they won't last long."
He glanced around. There were thousands of them, but their durability was abysmal—each could only withstand a single hit before turning to ash.
"I have to move constantly."
Dave grinned.
"An island designed to test dashing and reflexes, huh? Perfect."
He stretched his legs, cracked his knuckles, and adjusted his stance. His body was light, his mind sharp.
Then, the system notification arrived.
[The mission has begun!]
Rumble—!
The sky flashed, followed by an immediate downpour of lightning.
K-KRAKOOM!!
The first bolt struck a rod nearby, instantly turning it to ash.
Ssshhh… The air hissed as the lingering electricity burned the space around it.
Dave didn't hesitate.
Dash!
His body blurred as he moved swiftly, dodging a second lightning strike that obliterated another rod behind him.
Pa-Pa-Pa-PAT!
More bolts descended like a raging storm, but Dave was already ahead of them.
He zigzagged through the battlefield, stepping on rods only when necessary, letting them take the brunt of the lightning while he propelled himself forward.
"There's the gate!"
Far ahead, through the chaos, he saw the glowing portal leading to the eleventh island.
But the lightning storm intensified. The strike intervals shortened, and soon, multiple bolts rained down at once.
KRAKOOM! KRAKOOM! KRAKOOM!
Dave's eyes sharpened. He activated his Flash Step skill.
In a blink—
SWOOSH!
His body vanished from one spot and reappeared midair, dodging three bolts at once.
"Almost there."
He landed lightly, sprinting forward, weaving through the rapidly disappearing rods.
With one final leap, he soared toward the gate, just as a massive bolt struck the ground behind him.
KRAKOOM!
[You have cleared the tenth island!]
[You have acquired 30 Challenger Points!]
Dave exhaled, grinning.
"That was fun."
Then—
[Do you want to enter the 11th island?]
Without hesitation, Dave stepped into the gate.
[You have entered the 11th island.]
[A mission will be created.]
[11th Island]
Defeat the Lizardwoman!
First Clear Reward: 36 Challenger Points.
[The mission will start in 30 minutes.]
The Lizardwoman—the boss monster that Lizardmen served. Her value was high because she dropped the rare Pink Leather, a key material for crafting the finest leather armor.
Dave looked around and saw large ponds and numerous huts scattered across the area.
As the countdown timer reached zero, Lizardmen started pouring out of the huts.
There were 297 huts, yet the number of Lizardmen surpassed 1,000.
"They thrive near water."
