Andrea stepped into the grand suite, her eyes widening as she took in the opulent space. Floor-to-ceiling windows bathed the room in golden light, revealing a sprawling living area with plush velvet furniture, a marble fireplace, and a crystal chandelier that sparkled overhead. The walls were adorned with intricate gold moldings, and the air carried the faintest scent of fresh roses, no doubt arranged meticulously by the hotel staff.

She turned in a slow circle, her breath catching. "This is huge… Is this a room or an entire apartment?" she muttered, almost to herself, feeling as though she had stepped into a palace rather than a hotel suite.

Eunwoo, unfazed by her awe, removed his coat and draped it over a chair. His movements were precise, controlled, as though he had done this a thousand times before. "This is the Presidential Suite," he stated matter-of-factly, moving toward the sleek dining table and placing a tablet on it. "This hotel is part of a seven-star international chain. High security, best services, and private access."

Andrea let out a low whistle, running her fingers along the smooth leather of the armchair closest to her. "So, living like a king, huh?" she mused, turning to him with a smirk.

Eunwoo glanced at her, his dark eyes unreadable. "Not a king yet."

She arched a brow at that cryptic comment but didn't press further. Instead, she plopped onto the sofa, crossing her legs as he handed her the tablet.

"You need to study this."

Andrea took the tablet from his hands, her fingers briefly brushing against his. The contact was fleeting, yet a spark of electricity zipped up her arm. She quickly shook off the odd sensation, focusing on the glowing screen as Eunwoo continued speaking.

"The party is in the evening. That gives us plenty of time to prepare. You need to act like my soon-to-be fiancée. So, read everything about me and make sure you don't mess up."

Andrea scoffed, rolling her eyes. "Gee, thanks for the confidence."

Ignoring her sarcasm, Eunwoo took a seat on the opposite couch, his posture as rigid as ever while Andrea began scrolling through the information. Her eyes skimmed through the neatly organized text, her lips quirking up at some of the details.

Eunwoo King

CEO of Asian Health Organization (AHO) Age: 27 Nationality: Korean Born in Daegu No girlfriend on record in school or college

Andrea paused, her gaze flicking back up to him, a slow smirk stretching across her lips.

"Wow, Mr. King. No girlfriend? Not even in college?" she teased, her voice laced with amusement.

Eunwoo, who had been in the middle of taking a sip of water, nearly choked. His head snapped up, his brows knitting together in a deep frown as he caught the mischievous glint in her eyes.

His reaction was too good.

His expression darkened as he immediately stood. "Where did you read that?"

Andrea's smirk deepened, her fingers gripping the tablet just a little tighter. "Oh, just here in your oh-so-detailed profile."

Eunwoo strode toward her, his eyes locked onto hers in warning. "Give that back."

Andrea yanked it away just in time, springing up from the couch and dashing to the other side of the dining table. "Oh no, no, no, this is too good," she laughed, skimming the text again while keeping a watchful eye on him.

She pretended to read aloud, dragging out her words just to annoy him further. "Let's see… top student, best businessman, best medical scientist award—oh, damn, boss, you were really the golden boy, huh?"

Eunwoo exhaled sharply, his jaw tightening. "Andrea," he warned, his voice dropping lower.

But she wasn't done yet. Her eyes gleamed as she scrolled further. "Ohhh, wait—there's more. It says here that you never—"

She didn't get to finish.

Eunwoo lunged toward her.

"Hey!" she squealed, dodging him just in time and darting toward the living room area.

"Give it back, Andrea," Eunwoo growled, his patience wearing thin as he pursued her.

"Why?" she taunted, holding the tablet above her head. "Isn't it all just facts about you? Shouldn't your fiancée know them?"

Eunwoo narrowed his eyes, feinting left before quickly switching directions. Andrea gasped, realizing a second too late that she had miscalculated.

Within seconds, he had her trapped against the dining table, his hands gripping the polished surface on either side of her, effectively caging her in.

Andrea's breath hitched.

Eunwoo was too close. His scent—expensive cologne mixed with something inherently him—wrapped around her senses. His dark black eyes flickered with an unreadable emotion as he stared down at her.

Andrea swallowed. The teasing words she had lined up in her head suddenly felt stuck in her throat.

For a second, neither of them moved.

Then Eunwoo leaned in, just slightly. His voice was lower now, softer.

"It's not important for you to read everything," he murmured, his tone carrying an edge that sent a shiver down her spine.

Andrea felt her heart skip a beat, but she wasn't about to back down. Tilting her chin up, she met his gaze with a smirk.

"I think it's very important."

Eunwoo exhaled, his lips pressing into a thin line. And before she could react, his hand shot out, snatching the tablet from her grip with ease. He stepped back, the barest hint of a victorious smirk playing on his lips.

Andrea gasped. "You—!"

He raised a brow, holding up the tablet as if to taunt her. "Too slow, Miss Yıldız."

She glared at him. "That was cheating."

"Survival," he countered smoothly.

Andrea rolled her eyes, crossing her arms over her chest. "Fine. But I already read it. No use hiding it now."

Eunwoo sighed, shaking his head before turning away. "Go freshen up. We'll have breakfast before we start preparing."

Andrea watched him disappear into his room, a small smile tugging at her lips.

She may have lost the tablet, but she definitely won this round.

Andrea leaned against the dining table, watching Eunwoo disappear into his room with the tablet. She could still feel the tension lingering in the air from their little chase. The way he had trapped her, the way his breath had brushed against her skin—it sent a shiver down her spine.

Get a grip, Andrea.

Shaking her head, she pushed herself upright and walked toward her own room in the suite. The space was elegant, with warm lighting, a king-sized bed, and floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooked the city skyline. A separate dressing area was stocked with neatly arranged outfits, likely selected for the party.

Andrea exhaled and sat on the edge of the bed.

Eunwoo King was a mystery. He was cold, calculating, and unreadable, yet she had just seen something different—a side of him that was teasing, reactive. She smirked, recalling the moment he had panicked when she read about his lack of romantic history.

So the mighty Eunwoo isn't as untouchable as he seems.

Her fingers lightly traced her lips as she replayed how close he had gotten to her.

"Ugh." She groaned, shaking off the thought. "Why am I thinking about this?"

Andrea stood up and made her way to the bathroom. She turned on the shower, letting the warm water relax her tense muscles.

Meanwhile, in the other room, Eunwoo leaned against the door, rubbing his forehead.

"She's going to be a problem," he muttered under his breath.

Minjoon had included unnecessary personal details in that file, and now Andrea had read them. He wasn't embarrassed about not having a girlfriend, but for some reason, hearing Andrea tease him about it made him uncomfortable.

And the way she looked at him when she was reading his profile… it was like she was peeling away his layers.

He shook his head. It doesn't matter.

He needed her for a role. That was it. This was business.

Still, as he changed into fresh clothes and ran a hand through his damp hair, his mind kept drifting back to the way Andrea had looked at him—with mischief, curiosity, and something else he couldn't quite name.

—----- ------- ------- -------- ------- --------- ------- ------- ------—

By the time Andrea finished getting ready, she stepped out of her room in a casual yet stylish outfit—jeans, a fitted top, and a blazer. She ran her fingers through her slightly damp hair and walked into the dining area, expecting Eunwoo to be there.

Instead, she found the breakfast table already set with various dishes—fruits, pastries, eggs, and a selection of drinks.

Eunwoo was already seated, dressed in a crisp white shirt with the sleeves rolled up. His dark hair was slightly tousled, and he looked effortlessly composed, as always.

He glanced up when she entered, his gaze flickering over her before returning to his plate. "You took long enough."

Andrea scoffed, dropping into the chair across from him. "Excuse me for wanting to enjoy a nice shower in this fancy suite."

Eunwoo poured himself a cup of coffee and took a slow sip before saying, "You should focus more on preparing for tonight."

Andrea rolled her eyes but grabbed a croissant. "Yes, yes, your soon-to-be fiancée needs to be perfect, I know." She took a bite, chewing thoughtfully before adding, "So, what exactly do I need to do at this party? Just smile, hold your arm, and act in love?"

Eunwoo set his cup down, leveling his gaze at her. "You'll need to know the key guests, how to handle questions, and how to match my responses. If anyone gets suspicious, it could ruin the entire arrangement."

Andrea raised a brow. "Wow, what a romantic engagement. Sounds more like a business transaction."

Eunwoo leaned back in his chair, watching her carefully. "Because it is."

Andrea smirked, tilting her head. "Do you always treat relationships like business deals, Mr. King?"

His jaw ticked slightly, but he didn't answer. Instead, he simply picked up his phone and started scrolling through messages.

Andrea chuckled, sipping her juice. "Thought so."

They ate in silence for a few moments before Eunwoo finally spoke. "After breakfast, we'll go through the guest list. You need to memorize the key figures, especially those who might be interested in my… private affairs."

Andrea nodded. "Got it. And by private affairs, you mean your role as CEO or…" She trailed off, raising a knowing eyebrow.

Eunwoo didn't react. "You don't need to know everything."

Andrea huffed, leaning back in her chair. "Fine. Keep your secrets."

She didn't push further, but she knew one thing—Eunwoo King had more layers than he was willing to show, and whether he liked it or not, she was determined to unravel them.
