Chapter 25:

The trio, after having left Cassian, called it a day. But a couple hours later after they left, he called for them to come back because of what he found. They returned to the bunker where they had no idea what to expect from what he had to tell them, the only thing to go off of was a bunch of rocks that were hanging out in front of the stairway's doorway. Finally, Cassian returned from down below there before taking a quick moment to pop his back.

"You do know to lift with your legs and not with your back, right?" Alex joked while Cassian rolled his eyes at the attempted humor. "Hardy har har. I'll be fine. But do you know any other really good demon hunters?" Cassian asked before Mike suggested that he could go get Sebastian, which the former let out another sarcastic laugh before rejecting the idea, "Anybody else?"

Pat then asked, "What's wrong with Sebastian?" Initially Cassian hesitated on his answer but he shrugged it off before admitting why. "He's a pain to work with. He more focuses on showboating than actually killing the demons, and if what I think is down there is actually there, I rather not have to deal with his bull." "And what exactly is down there?" Mike inquired and got an immediate response.

It was that Cassian was hearing noises behind the rubble, and it was likely a bunch of demons hanging out back behind the pile of rubble. Cassian couldn't tell how many there were, but he was certain that there had to be a lot. Or at least some type of rift that is usually how demons get from Hell to the planet. That didn't stop Mike from suggesting another idea. "Doesn't Gris love explosives? Just have her send them back to Hell in pieces."

Cassian looks at Mike, dumbfounded then looking at the other two that were there. "Does he know anything about how Hell and the demons actually operate?" The other two shrug, unknowing if Mike had actually taken the time to learn about the history of demons and Hell, literally anything outside of making the money that he does. Cassian can't believe he has to do this thing again like he was explaining things to them before all that time ago.

"Demons are attracted to other demons' blood and carcasses. If there's enough of them lying around without us transporting them elsewhere, it could make demons from Hell rip through the space between Hell and this dimension to get here. What's worse is that it doesn't even need to be multiple dead. Which leads to a whole other problem."

"That problem being?" Again, the neglect towards the situation was starting to get on Cassian's nerves as he responded, "The problem being that if there isn't something holding the rip open like they do for the mines most of the time, it takes a long time for them to close by themselves. Smaller ones can just take a few minutes, which isn't too bad, but if one is big enough, it can take hours, if not even days. Whatever cruel 'god' decided to do that, screw them." He says the last part in a joking manner to lighten the mood for himself.

"But that's the basic gist of it, so we need to know how to operate these things, and to regulate how it's done. We don't know how many demons are down there, and we don't really need to make a giant rift to appear, so let's just head back to the black market and buy some weapons, shall we?" But the others were not really wanting to do that as they re-elaborate their whole deal with the Union since they work there.

"I still can't believe they couldn't pick some type of unique name for something that's doing so much. But that's just what people are like. Okay, I'll go get my weapons the way I do, and you get your weapons the way you do. That sound good?" Reasonable enough they all collectively thought to one another before parting ways to do what they needed. Though, they did decide to do it in a week so they could stock up on items.

While doing so, however, Gris did decide to contact Mike about what they were planning by sending a message. She told him that she's usually the one selling Cassian weapons and the sort but he'd usually only buy what he needs for the time, but he's getting a lot more since he was with them, and she decided to ask him about it. However, Mike chose to ignore her message, not wanting to deal with her.

Gris decided to ask Pat this time, to which he explained the situation to her. And she seemed ecstatic about it. She was willing to pass them some more grenades, or outright plant some bombs down there herself to just destroy whatever was down there all in one go, even though she knew the possible rift that could happen, but she was just saying that it was all in good fun, but she'll go ahead and just help in whatever way they needed.

Pat thanked her for that before continuing on with his day until it came to when they had everything planned out. After getting everything ready for himself, he checked in with the others, making sure they had their things ready for whatever it could be. And they seemed to all be good to go for the day they go down to deal with it.

Eventually, the day came when they were going to go back to the bunker to have what was needed to be done, but when they all got through, they all already heard numerous demons roaring out at the bunker, which made them all rush over to it. When they got there, they all heard that there was somebody there fighting, and he was seemingly having fun doing so. Especially when they heard him say "Gotcha" in a taunting manner.
