Chapter Twenty Five & Twenty Six

Queen Rose stared at her long time friend from a distance before deciding to approach her.

"What are you thinking of?", Queen Rose asked.

"Go away, Rose", Queen Mary said.

"Is it your kids? They should be with my kids", Queen Rose added.

"Darn children", Queen Mary rolled her eyes.

She sat down beside her friend and passed the cup of coffee to her. She then heaved a long sigh and tucked her hair behind her ears.

"Drink up before it gets cold", Queen Rose reminded her before the drink really gets cold but Queen Mary was hesitating.

"You're not thinking I poisoned you, are you?", Shelaughed and Queen Mary returned the warm smile.

"You can't do anything to stop it, Mary", Queen Rose suddenly said with a serious look on her face.

"I'm talking about our children - Lex and Evelyn. I looked into my son's future once and saw his fate", Queen Rose explained.

"Your son not my daughter. I don't remember giving you permission to look into my daughter's life", Queen Mary was getting angry.

"He's gonna end up with Evelyn whether you like it or not", Queen Rose continued. "But my daughter is not that lucky. She will have a bad twist if she gets along with your son"

"I don't care, Rose. All these stupid predicament got into that little witch's head and she stole my daughter from me for many years", Queen Mary fumed.

"Are you talking about Elizabeth? Did she reealky do that?", Queen Rose widened her eyes.

"Yes!", Queen Mary yelled.

"Oh my! Why are you telling me this now, Mary?", Queen Rose asked.

"When am I supposed to let you know? When my daughter give birth to pigs that can fly?", Queen Mary ranted.

"To be honest, that night the war started, I was worried. It was only Jamal and Raphael that arrived in the palace but your daughter was missing. I later got to know the reason and sent for Lady Elizabeth to take care of her in her mansion", Queen Rose began to cry.

"What lady? She's not a lady anymore. She's a nonchalant vagabond that kept running around like the fugitive she is. I kept looking for her and she kept disappearing", Queen Nary cried out.

"This is all my fault. I didn't know that was the reason you were so distant from me. I'm so sorry, Mary", Queen Rose wept.

"I forgot about my daughter, Roseline", Queen Mary began to cry.

"I forgot a Centrion for so long. Everybody did because of Elizabeth and I will make her pay when I find her", Queen Mary swore.

"We will", Queen Rose assured her and patted her back.

Yoona heaved a sigh and continued driving on the highway. She took out her phone to call Eve immediately she was held up in a traffic jam.

"Hey! It's the a month up over there?", Yoona yelled.

"I'm screwed, Yoona", Eve's voice came over the phone.

"Because you're a princess?", Yoona asked. "C'mon, Eve. You also have a good life here. I'm just coming from the school. The kids wanna see you so much that they're driving me crazy as I drive. Can you believe they almost killed me because I showed up without you?", Yoona said.

"Really? They should have killed you then", Eve laughed.

"I'll be back next week"

"How would you cope here as a princess?", Yoona asked.

"I would be fine, Yoona. I've always been", Eve replied.

"How's Alexis?", Yoona heard Eve ask.

"It's happened but he's fine. He's now a senior officer or something like that's so he's earning a lot", Yoona gave out information.

"Really? Don't spend it all. I'm coming tomorrow", Eve laughed and Yoona joined in the laughter.

"Did he tell you?", Eve asked after a moment of silence.

"Anything…strange?", Eve asked. Actually, that wasn't the right thing ti ask but it wasn't in her place to ask her too.

"No. You know him", Yoona chuckled.

"So, how are you both?", Eve laughed but Yoona heard underground voices.

"Who's there with you? Don't tell me you have a boyfriend before me", Yoona pouted.

"It's my brother. Jamal say 'hi'", Eve quickly switched it to video so Yoona could see him.

Yoona stepped on the brake and switched it back to audio immediately.

"Bitch! You wanna kill me while I'm driving. I didn't know you were this heartless. You have a brother that's so finnnneeee", Yoona sang happily.

"Wait…don't tell me you like him", Eve rolled her eyes.

"Nah! Alexis still resides in my heart", Yoona said and added, "Okay. I'll call you later. Traffic's gone and it's time for the drivers to murder me soon"

"Who's that?", Jamal asked Eve.

"That's Yoona. She's my very close friend from the city", Eve replied.

"I see. You're from the city", Jamal confirmed and she nodded. There was silence for some time before he asked her a question.

"Do you like Lex?"

Eve widened her eyes and replied, "What? That's absurd! No! Of course not!"

"Are you sure?", Jamal confirmed and she nodded quickly.

"You should know that Lex still has a thing to do with every girl on campus. Introduce me to your decent boyfriend when you finally have one", Jamal told her and she nodded.

She was still deep in thought because she didn't notice when Lex walked into the room. It was when the weight on the bed became heavier she became conscious of her environment.

Lex knew that look in her eyes so he just told her he wanted to talk to her.

"Jamal said I shouldn't get along with a jerk like you. Now, get out because I'm not interested", Eve got up from the bed and walked towards the window.

She heaved a sigh and muttered under her breath, "It's snowing"

"Didn't you check your weather broadcast?", Lex's figure towered over her and she was alarmed.

"W-what are you doing?", She stammered when he started coming closer.

"I wanted to talk to you", He said calmly and Eve was lost in his eyes for some moments. His deep voice made her mesmerized first and his he's made her lost in her thoughts.

"Then-let's talk…over there", She pointed to the bed and he scoffed.

"We can't talk anymore. That time's already up", Lex smirked and began to touch her hair.

"You look beautiful and a little…sexy", He whispered the last part into her ears.

"I don't wish to hear it from a guy like you", Eve replied.

"Then, I guess you'd love to hear it from a fucker like Collins", Lex retorted.

"Move. I don't want to talk to you too. You're worse than he is", She pushed him away and tried to go out of the door but she couldn't.

Instead, the door got shut by itself and she was rooted to the ground in awe and shock. After realizing for a little bit, she turned around in anger to face Lex who had a smirk on his face.

"What's wrong, Evelyn? Can't you leave?", He smirked.

"Open the damn door, Lex!", Her hair was now getting blue and longer. The walls were beginning to freeze but the anger didn't leave her eyes for a second.

"You're but aware of Colins' intention for you, are you?", Lex glared at her.

"How's that your business?", Eve yelled at him.

"It's my business became he called you a horny whore. Obviously, he has nothing to do with you than to fuck you bad and that's all. He's a total jerk Caro dated behind my back. And now you want to date him too!", Lex yelled back.

"How does all of that make you any different?", Eve asked him and he kept quiet.

"Are you saying-"

"Yes, Lex. I'm saying. I am saying that's what you also want so you don't want him to have me. Sadly, the truth is I hate both of you so bad that I'm leaving Hawaii next Saturday for the city", Eve revealed to him while he looked at her in surprise.

"You don't look happy, Lex. But I think you should do well with the opposite reaction. I forgot everything but I came to see that witch only to see you and your sister. I'll never ever forgive you for what you did to me when we were young. I was a second away from choking and dying", Eve looked at him angrily.

"Ev-"

"Don't. Dint you dare call my name"

"Princess", He called and she heaved a sigh.

"Lest I forget, the main reason for coming here for me is to collect my rabbit. I heard it's with you. Can I take it now?", Eve asked.

"I already ate him", Lex muttered quietly.

"Have a good life, Lex", Eve said and walked out of his life.

FOUR YEARS LATER

"The last time I set my foot in this school, I was here to take the kids in grade eight to the museum for an excursion", Eve sighed and walked along with Marta.

Mary's is also a new teacher but she was inexperienced unlike Eve. Eve was transferred to another branch of the school. Apparently, it was her headquarters she and Marta were working with now.

"You now got to take care of soon to be four years old kids", Marta grinned but Eve glared at her.

"I know that old man did it purposely. He knew I was not that good with children so he forced me to take care of those kids", Eve cried out.

"You should be happy your pay is half a million dollars", Marta said and Eve widened her eyes.

"You shouldn't be saying things like that around here. Some evil teachers could hear you and begin to plot against us especially me", Eve reasoned and Marta apologized.

"It's fine. How did you manage to know my salary?", She was curious.

"I accidentally saw it", Marta whispered. "I walked into the office when the principal was printing it. He did chastise me for coming in at the wrong time though", Marta laughed.

"That's so like him", Eve replied.

"But I can't believe you get. I'm just a twenty one year old girl that took the job of being the home room teacher of some adorable kids in a prestigious school", Eve narrated.

"Yeah! Me too!", Marta laughed.

"But you're teaching grade eleven. Your salary would be much higher than mine", Eve beamed a smile.

"Obviously", Marta said proudly.

"That's why you're buying me lunch now", Eve stole her wallet and Marta ran after her while screaming.

"Eve, no!"

"You're not invited to my wedding then", Marta pouted.

"Yesssss", Eve yelled again.

"What? I mean-you know"

The two ladies laughed hard at Eve's craziness.

There were so many chandeliers dropping from the ceiling. Everywhere was so bright and colorful with different flowers everywhere with people for a bi-yearly gathering. There were people that atttended the gathering that night for one main reason.

And that one main reason was to meet much more successful people in high places to do business with them.

After finishing in the university, all Lex have been doing has been nothing but leaving and touring all the countries to attend for a business conference or another. He had made up his mind to leave girls after the day Eve decided to leave for the city. He realized that all the things he had done was to hurt her.

He grew distant with his friends except Jamal for a reason. He was Eve's beloved brother. His class changed a lot so most of his ways of doing things are now classy. He became more cold to people.

He doesn't even engage in little talk and didn't hav any female friends. That was because at the end of the day, they would be in love with him and he can't help that.

At the gathering, he just sat on his seat and drank some wine. He smiled when he saw the recent upload of Eve. So far so good, she was doing good. He decided to change for better after she left to the city.

He vowed in his heart to become successful after receiving a hint from Jamal that his sister likes successful men.

Funny enough, Queen Mary and Jamal have given him permission to date Evelyn last month. His name was ranked as number on in the list of 'most successful young men of all times'. He was even listed as a billionaire that year and of course, counted as one of the most handsome men in the world.

He hope that he could still have the chance to make Evelyn fall for him this time. In fact, he had already memorized all he wants to tell her when they meet again after four long years.

From what he had been seeing on the internet, she was more beautiful. She was now twenty one years old and much more sexier than she used to be. What's he saying? She's now a grown woman.

Anytime he comes across her photos and videos, he'd always end up staring at it and spend so much time obsessing over her beauty and pretty face. He can't wait to meet her again. After the years he had been in the university, he had been trying to sort out his scattered feelings for her.

He liked her but he still ended up having a thing to do with other girls. He still ended up fucking them when he was in the mood to. He was like that with Cecilia and his other ex-girlfriends.

It was after she left he realized that the knot he had always felt when he was with her was the feeling of love. He has felt all the emotions whenever she's around him. Love, anger, jealousy and even desire. He had felt the need to protest her that night the bastard named Salvatore wanted to rape her.

That has led to both of them having a long hot night but thankfully, it didn't result to sex. Had they have sex that night, she would have regretted a lot of things and probably him too.

She was a fucking virgin and if he had stolen her virginity on the basis of being drugged, he might never get the hope of being with her again.

So throughout those long four years, he had done both but watch her grow into the beautiful woman she was becoming now. He couldn't be more happier than returning to his city to fulfill his dreams.

His eyes darkened as he watched the clingy miss Dobrev walk to him with a smile on her face. He knew that Dobrev was interested in him ever since he gave her a chance to meet him physically. She was a talented A-list actress that got into the entertainment industry; obviously with the help of her family's influence.

They were rich and influential in country S. That's her country but she came to the gathering even though she was busy. That was because she heard Lex's name is among the guests that year and decided to honor their invitation.

Whatever she's really there for was a lie becahse it's the 'who' she was really there for.

"Hi! I didn't know you were coming. I would have come much more earlier to entertain you", Dobrev lied through her teeth.

"I don't find a boring person like you fit to entertain somebody like me", Lex said coldly.

"Ouch…but I'm fine", Dobrev laughed.

"Hurry and be on your way. I don't fancy you here", Lex said and she scoffed.

"You're kidding, right?", She raised her brow.

"Where's Caro?", She added.

"She's not here. You'll be more useful at the mall right now by helping her select her graduation gown at TJ", Lex answered.

"When is her graduation?", Dobrev sat beside him and asked.

"Next week", He replied and stood up.
