Ryota Kurogane, a 22 year-old young man from a poor family, is forced to become the breadwinner after his father's death. With a sickly mother and a younger sister still in school, his life is full of hardship. Amid financial struggles and the pressure of college, Ryota finds hope in Vanguard Genesis, a prestigious VR MMORPG E-Sport game that offers a huge prize. Using the alias "Raijin," Ryota is determined to enter the tournament and change his family's fate. However, the competition is fierce, and he must face unexpected challenges that test his strength, friendships, and courage.
