Gladyce was lying in bed, but she could not feel at ease.
She couldn't get in touch with Jacqueline, who had been gone for a few days. She didn't know what was going on over there.
The carer was nice, but now she looked a little flustered when she was serving the food.
"What's wrong?" asked Gladyce.
"Madam." The carer pointed outside awkwardly. "A lady came. She said she is Miss Richard's mother."
Upon hearing this, Gladyce frowned. Jacqueline's mum... She felt a headache. Why didn't she come back earlier or later?
With a "bang" sound, the door was pushed open.
Jacqueline's mother stroked her hair and turned to look at Gladyce proudly. "You! Where's that girl?"
She was asking about Jacqueline.
"Auntie," Gladyce said, trying her best to maintain her smile. After all, she was staying in her house. "She got some work and went out."
