Hugo barely had the chance to take in the surroundings of Loli's dorm before he dropped all his bags onto the couch with a soft thud.

His duffel bag, the pink wrapped birthday gift he had secretly prepared, and, most importantly, the three full snack bags they had barely touched all settled into place.

He took a deep breath and looked around, scanning the place for the second time.

The room was cozy, a little messy in a way that made it feel lived-in, with a big gaming setup on one side and a fluffy couch on the other side.

The air smelled faintly like strawberries, and honestly, Hugo wasn't sure if that was her air freshener or just her.

But before he could process anything further, his gaze landed back on Loli, who was already looking at him like she had been waiting for him to make eye contact.

And just like that, as if they had both silently agreed on it, they moved toward each other at the exact same time.
