Arielle's POV

A few nights after Damien and I had that near encounter in the tent with the children, I couldn't hide my excitement at all.

My stomach kept twisting with butterflies and each moment took me back to that evening. And I wanted—

"Thinking about him again?" Riley suddenly popped into my vision.

"Shut up!" I shoved her away and rushed to the bathroom.

"Oh? I see, I wasn't wrong! You really were thinking about Damien!"

"Riley, leave me!" My cheeks felt hotter.

Somehow, the embarrassment was too much for me. I caught my reflection in the mirror and I looked like a ripe tomato.

"It's not what you think, it's not Damien!"

"You are lying. It's Damien! If it wasn't him, you would have said, 'him? Who?' but you didn't deny it and mentioned Damien's name when it could have been anybody!" Riley insisted.
