Arielle's POV.
Baron's advice echoed in my head and as much as I wanted to take it, my heart broke.
But I swallowed my pain and quietly walked with him to the dinner area. We stopped at the door and nervousness washed over me.
I recognized George's personal guard at the side and he cast a long, hostile stare my way which Baron blocked by coming between us.
As the guards opened the door, I walked inside the room with some fear in my heart, but all that fear was gone when my eyes fell on Damien.
Like magic, time stopped and it was just me and him. Butterflies sizzled within me, waking all of the emotions he had left behind that evening in the tent…
He stood up, and a warm smile spread on his face. Suddenly, he wasn't that tyrant I used to know months ago…
It was like those times on the roof, where we spent the night looking up at the stars and enjoying our company.
