"Why are you smiling so wickedly?"
Seeing his mischievous grin, Sakurajima Mai poked Rei Ao in the stomach.
"Nothing, I just thought of something fun," Rei Ao replied casually.
After saying this, he retrieved two palm-sized, intricately designed books from the group chat space.
"What are these?"
Mai looked at the books curiously, while Tohru eyed them with a serious expression.
"These books contain strange powers," Tohru remarked cautiously.
"They're magical tomes imbued with magic," Rei Ao explained.
The one on the right was Ilias Fragment.
The one on the left was Astil's Manuscript.
Both were obtained from his transaction with Hijiri Kasuga.
Ilias Fragment originally belonged to Hijiri.
Astil's Manuscript was the tome she had intended to give to her brother, Arata Kasuga.
Rei Ao recalled that, in the Trinity Seven, these two tomes had manifested as human forms.
With this in mind, he decided to conduct an experiment.
Rei Ao shifted into his Demon King form.
"!!!"
Tohru's tail instantly stiffened as her instincts kicked in.
The aura radiating from Rei Ao was overwhelming—far stronger than anything she'd ever felt.
Ignoring her reaction, Rei Ao channeled his magic into the two tomes.
As the magic poured in, the books trembled violently.
Reaching their limit, Rei Ao released them, and the tomes floated mid-air, glowing brightly.
Within the light, two faint human silhouettes began to take shape.
They were… two girls.
One had long blue hair, a black butterfly ribbon, thigh-high stockings, and leather boots.
The other had long green hair, a black headband, an over-the-knee black skirt, and a reserved elegance.
"Who are they?"
Mai couldn't understand how these two girls suddenly appeared.
"They are the magical tomes," Rei Ao explained.
As he finished speaking, the two girls opened their eyes, locking their gaze on Rei Ao.
The blue-haired girl immediately dashed toward him, throwing herself into his arms and exclaiming, "Master, you smell amazing!"
The green-haired girl landed gracefully on the floor, more composed but still visibly excited. She softly said, "Master."
"Good," Rei Ao said with satisfaction.
They were exactly as he remembered them.
"You don't have names, so I'll give you some," he said thoughtfully.
"You're Sora," he said, naming the blue-haired girl who represented Astil's Manuscript.
"And you're Ilia," he continued, naming the green-haired girl who represented Ilias Fragment.
Both girls were delighted to receive their names.
Mai rubbed her temples.
Two books turning into two girls—it was just another strange and chaotic thing that happened around Rei Ao.
Fortunately, her tolerance for such absurdities had significantly improved.
Rei Ao spent some time studying the powers of the two magical tomes:
Sora: Capable of recording knowledge from other worlds.
Possesses the ability to "construct worlds."
As long as sufficient magic is provided, she can create new worlds.
Ilia: Specializes in various support magic.
With Rei Ao's magic infused into her, she is fully capable of engaging in combat herself.
Of course, Rei Ao wasn't overly concerned about their combat abilities.
As long as they could warm his bed, that was good enough for him.
That said, while Sora and Ilia were very attached to Rei Ao, they showed little interest in Mai and Tohru.
It seemed they would need more time to bond—and, ideally, share a bed together.
...
Sora and Ilia indeed needed time to adapt, especially to their delicate bodies that struggled to handle their newfound existence.
But Rei Ao wasn't in a rush.
"Mai, I'm heading out. Don't wait for me."
As night fell, Rei Ao unexpectedly decided to go out.
"Going out this late?"
Mai didn't stop him but pursed her lips, feeling a pang of jealousy.
Her first thought was that he was going to meet another woman.
Mai couldn't help but wonder who it was that made him willingly leave behind not just her and Tohru but also the newly arrived Sora and Ilia—each unique and captivating in their own way, with two of them being "unexplored territories."
Unable to contain her curiosity, she tagged everyone in the group chat.
Sakurajima Mai: "@everyone! Did Rei Ao say he was coming to see any of you?"
Yukinoshita Yukino: "What do you mean?"
Sakurajima Mai: "It's just… Rei Ao suddenly went out tonight, and I was curious if he's meeting any of you."
Tohru: "Hehe, what curiosity? You're jealous, aren't you? Lonely in an empty room, huh~"
Sakurajima Mai: "Shut up!"
Kobayashi: "Are you worried your boyfriend is cheating on you?"
Utaha Kasumigaoka: "…Considering Rei Ao already has a harem like a typical rom-com protagonist, can you even call it cheating?"
Kobayashi: "Uh… good point."
Shin: "Mommy! Do you think Rei Ao-oniichan will come see you?"
Kobayashi: "Of course not!"
Yukinoshita Yukino: "He's not with me."
Yukino sighed heavily.
She genuinely didn't want to get involved in these kinds of matters.
Sonoka Machida: "Unfortunately, Rei Ao didn't say he was coming to see me. Otherwise, I would've dressed up for him."
Utaha Kasumigaoka: "…Sonoko, can you not make it sound so… so…"
Sonoka Machida: "Haha, Utaha, are you trying to say I sound desperate?"
Utaha Kasumigaoka: "…Sorry, but that's my honest impression."
Sonoka Machida: "No problem, it's just the truth, and I don't mind."
Sonoka Machida: "Frankly, I'm just being honest. You younger women don't understand the struggles of middle-aged women like me."
Sonoka Machida: "It's not every day you find a young, strong boyfriend like Rei Ao. Of course, I'd want to savor it."
Shizuka Hiratsuka: "I agree!"
Machida Enko: "Huh? Who's this?"
Shizuka Hiratsuka: "Oh, I just joined today. I'm Shizuka Hiratsuka, a homeroom teacher for the third-year Class 3 at the General Academy. I'm also Rei Ao's teacher."
Kato Megumi: "So it's true… Sensei, you too…"
Shizuka Hiratsuka: "I'm sorry. I couldn't resist after Rei Ao teased me so much. It's my fault for losing control and making the first move—it wasn't his fault."
Yukinoshita Yukino: "…"
Eriri Sawamura: "…"
Utaha Kasumigaoka: "…"
The three of them couldn't help but feel that Rei Ao might be a bit too much to handle.
Especially Yukino.
"Sensei got taken down so easily?!"
She found it unbelievable.
Her sister had even said Hiratsuka-sensei would probably reject him.
The sudden change caught her completely off guard.
Sonoka Machida: "Ah, a kindred spirit!"
Shizuka Hiratsuka: "Nice to meet you."
Hearing Sonoka Machida's comment, Shizuka Hiratsuka couldn't help but feel a sense of camaraderie.
It was a feeling of shared struggles, a mutual understanding of their "predicament."
Finally, she had found someone who truly understood her!
