On this day, the gods remembered once again their fear of the Dragon God's tyranny. Its name was…the Crimson Dragon God.

Frieren: "What happened to the God Realm battle? Or Ragnarok?"

Erica: "Ragnarok? Huh. Isn't that what we're looking at right now?"

All the gods of the God Realm lay flat on the ground in utter despair, like beaten dogs. Even the five Divine Kings were no exception. None of them had expected that, despite wielding the God Realm's core power, they could all be defeated in a single instant.

That discovery delighted him. For the moment, Unique God only applied to the worlds under the God Realm, but from the description, it seemed he could take control of other worlds as well. He'd have to test that later.

Meanwhile, he could alter world rules, as well as create gods—highly relevant to the power of the God Realm Core. The only limitation was that creating new gods wasn't limitless. Each world's source was finite, and godhoods were forged from that source. Stronger roles, like a God-King, required more of the source.

Finished examining his new condition, Rei Ao turned and smiled at Gu Yuena, still stunned and at a loss.

"It's time to fulfill our agreement."

He would alter the Douluo Continent's rules—and the God Realm's rules about soul beasts—while Gu Yuena, for her part, had to fulfill her end of the bargain. Meaning she was in for some hard work.

It took Rei Ao a little time to alter the Douluo Continent's rules. The key points:

1. When a soul beast dies, no soul ring or soul bone is produced.

2. Human soul masters no longer advance by killing soul beasts. Reaching each ten-rank bottleneck would instead depend on talent, cultivation methods, opportunities, or natural treasures.

3. Skills (soul skills) could be learned or invented; people could train for them without soul rings.

Hence, soul masters would no longer rely on taking soul beasts' lives to grow stronger. For soul beasts, the biggest change was the lifting of the "can't become a god" restriction.

While their 100,000-year tribulation still existed, it would no longer be certain death nor so overwhelmingly strong.

Whenever one side gains too much power, slaughter might ensue. So to protect soul beasts, Rei Ao created an entirely new planet containing no humans at all—only suitable for soul beasts.

He transferred many beasts to that planet so they could form their own ecosystem there. Any other beasts wishing to go there simply had to reach 100,000 years in cultivation.

He asked, glancing at the woman in his arms.

Her beautiful eyes shone wetly. Despite the huge sense of relief and gratitude swirling in her heart, she could barely speak now that she was experiencing these "human hardships."

Rei Ao wore a playful expression.

"Well, since you're satisfied, you should work even harder to thank me. Right now, what you're doing is hardly enough… And those others need to join us, too."
