Scarlet was enrolled in the Villainess Academy to learn how the world of evil truly operates. She possessed hearts so pure and innocent that were often considered naive, easily believing whatever she was told, which made her seem foolish in the eyes of others. A girl with no mana, no aura, cannot summon a spirit, or execute a magic. Her parents, worried that her innocence and inability to survive in the world would be her downfall, they enrolled her in the Villainess Academy, hoping they would learn the harsh realities of the world and toughen up.

"'Meet someone you seek, unlock true power, and open your heart,'" I whispered. These words had been repeating in my mind since I entered the cave that day. It was odd, like a quiet voice guiding me, urging me on.

"What are you whispering, Jenna?" Sera asked, breaking my thoughts.

"Do you remember the words that person said to us?" I replied.

"Oh, you mean the part about one of us having to open our heart, and all that?" she asked, and I nodded.

"It's been bothering me," I admitted.

"Well, Scarlet and I talked about it," Sera said. "She's planning to go back and explore the cave again to find out what really happened to us. So, I guess we'll be going back in."

The idea of returning to the cave stirred up a mix of excitement and unease in me. There were still so many unanswered questions, but going back felt… right, somehow.
