H.I.S. 66

Scarlet POV

As I wish for these challenges to come to an end, I think life is far from granting that. Every step forward feels heavier, like the weight of the trials we've faced is finally catching up to me. I glanced at Micah walking beside me, her confident stride and ever-present smirk giving me a sense of reassurance I didn't realize I needed.

"Scarlet, you're awfully quiet," Micah said, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"I'm tired," I admitted, my voice soft but laced with exhaustion.

Micah stopped walking for a moment and turned to face me, her expression shifting from playful to gentle. "You can lean on my shoulder if you need to," she offered, patting her shoulder with a smirk. "You've been carrying the world all day. Let me take some of it."

I chuckled, though it came out weak. " Such a sweet talker, huh?" Micah gave me a smile

"You'd probably collapse under all that weight." she said.
