"Do you know how late you are right now?" Colet asked, her voice sharp enough to snap Grinel out of her thoughts.

Grinel blinked, turning to face her. "Late for what?" she asked, genuinely confused. As far as she remembered, there wasn't anything planned for the day, and this was her usual time to return.

Colet folded her arms, a rare look of exasperation crossing her face. "Your appointment with your parents. Did you forget about that?"

Grinel's eyes widened in realization. "Wait, that's today?"

Colet sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Yes, it's today. They've been waiting for you for over an hour. You really need to keep track of these things, Grinel. It's not like we get to see them often."

Grinel groaned, running a hand through her hair. "I've been busy, okay? Things are… complicated right now."
